Colonel, we found a lot of suspicious things out in that cemetery.

Then again, we didn't find anything to base a fact of suspicion on.

I think all the Pac-Man games by Tengen are good. Since Tengen was an arm of Atari Games, I feel they inherited the reverse curse of 2600 Pac-Man. After that first disatrous attempt, Atari never made a bad Pac-Man again.

Of course, since Pac-Mania was an Atari Games title in the first place, they had an advantage with that one. And it shows.

well i just picked up

R.B.I. Baseball - $1.99

Guantlet (i cant believe i passed on this game) - $6.99

Rolling Thunder - $1.99

There was a Skull & Crossbones but it had a really messed up label, and i passed up on getting the Pac-Mania cause it was $25 and the label was ripped and stained big time

Hmm, I should give NES another go. Never been able to get into it.

Theres NO atari carts to be found in my town, but I'm knee deep in NES!

Rhindle, you're working through pretty much the whole of Plan 9, aren't you?

"your stupid minds! stupid, stupid stupid!"

Just to nit-pick Rhindle, I believe that the NES Pac-Man and Ms. Pac-man were programmed by Namco, and just distributed by Tengen. Just as the Sega games that Tengen released were programmed by Sega, and not Tengen.

On another note, what's up with Funco's pricing? I found a Pac-Mania in great shape for $15 there before, and often I see 2 of the same game in the bin together in the same condition for drastically different prices. I once saw 2 copies of Super Mario Bros. One was 89 cents, and the other was $6.95!

Well, Namco put out their own versions of Pac-Man and Ms Pac-Man. Anyone own them to see if they are any different? And on that note, Pac-Mania took me 4 years to find, after Blockbuster got rid of it (I asked them to hold it for me! I asked them!) and it was worth every penny. I just got it for GBA too, so I'm in the zone!

NES is a cool system to collect for, since it has a pretty varied library. And the pirate games are pretty interesting, some of them *coughmarioworld*.

Well, to nit-pick your nit-pick, Namco owned Atari Games/Tengen at the time so it's all one.

This one ain't from "Plan 9"

Every once in a while you have to have 'viva la différence'?

I wish I was a Frenchman and I could talk that kind of dialogue.

The only Rarity guide ive found is from 1998 which is way to outdated, and i dont even use it, i just use the Rarity numbers in the Cart Commander for time being, it might not be perfect but im not into collecting rare NES games yet, im just looking for certain titles, and 4 more Camerica games

You guys have sparked my interest for the NES once again. I actually have a huge selection of used NES loose and some boxed to choose from here in my town. One place has well over 200 hundred NES games. Many are the same...but have different prices depending on Label Condition.

As an example of the decents deals to be had there.

I picked up a Boxed Micro Machines that used to belong to a video store for $5. However the label has lots of wear...and the switch on the back was actually removed and then someone (Rental Store?) actually soldered a NES Lockout chip to the MicroMachines board so that the switch wouldn't be needed! I guess they gutted a SMB cart or something for it. Also I once picked up a Gyromite for .50 cents...and of course upon opening it...I find a Famicom 60 pin to NES 72 pin converter inside it!!!

As for the Tengen games...I have seen at least 5 Tetris loose in the Tengen case which usually goes for about 5-10 bucks here. I picked up my Toobin' for 3.99. So some good deals can be found.

My Gauntlet however is the NES official version in the NES case. But I have seen several Tengen case ones for 3.99 or so. Just last week in fact.
