Draugr
Hi, I was wondering if anyone can tell me if there is a difference between the NES "The Original - Donkey Kong - Arcade lassic Series" Cart and the version of Donkey Kong on the Donkey Kong Classics Cart. I recently bought both through a vendor and was told that they were different. Unfortunately, I just ordered and received a Game Axe (Portable NES clone). I had to send it back because the LCD screen didn't go on, but the unit worked when plugged into the TV. Anyhow, I decided to download the ROMs of both the above games and when I played them on the Emu, it looked exactly the same. Can anyone please clear this up for me. Thanks P.S: I thought there was a DK cart that had ALL 3 DK games on one cart. Does that exist and if so, hat is it called.
Lemmi
the only difference is one only has one game on it ( donkey kong) and the classic series has ( donkey kong & donkey kong jr) on it And i havent heard about a cart with all 3 donkey kongs on it
NE146
Like Lemmi said, Donkey Kong Classics aint nothing but the earlier NES version of Donkey Kong packed together with the earlier NES version of DKjr into one "value-pack". I remember being slightly dissapointed with NES DK because it didn't have the "how high can you get" screen and there was no animation of DK carrying off the damsel between stages. I thought they should have taken the time to make it as close to the arcade as possible
AtariKen64
ya considering the stuff that the NES could do at the end, making a complete version of DK seems like the simpliest thing that could ever be done, all those 1985-86 games pissed me off that way, andit suuposed to be better than atari how/? haha
