I have this Atari 2600 system that has these speakers built in the top of the console. They are wide holes under the long ridges forming circle speakers. No one else has known about it much. Its a six switch woody. Also,on the bottom of the bottom label it says Manufactured for Atari Inc.

Are the speakers actually inside or just the slots? If ther speakers are in there can you please post apic as I have never heard or seen such a thing and that would be neat to see. Also I want to know what brand name the speakers are.

Of course there are no speakers inside, all the first model heavy sixers look like that. I have at least 10 "prototypes" of this system in my garage. :rolling:

How about some pictures? Maybe disassemble the system and show us from the inside?

Everyone whose anyone has a 2600 with speaker slots. I have never seen one with speakers actually in there.

Exactly, if you have the speakers, don't be afraid to unscrew it and take pics of the inside. I'm very interested in this.

I dont have a digital camera or scanner.

OK dude, I try to give everybody the benefit of the doubt but let me give you a little advice. I'm not calling you a liar but I would highly advise having some pictures ready to go before making a claim that you own the only one of something known to exsist especially being new here. Being somewhat new to posting here myself I know some of the guys here can give the newbies a little crap now and then but it's all in good fun. I guess what I'm getting at is if you want people here to take you seriously and not make fun of you don't make outrageous claims unless you can prove it. Just a little advice.

Mine DOES make sound from the speakers.

No it doesn't

You're exactly right Lord Helmet. The prototype units have a little man that lives inside that makes the game noises. The "speaker" holes allow his voice to escape as well as providing much needed ventilation. He's probably hungry by now Cody. I recommend putting some peanut butter in the cartridge slot. (smooth, not chunky)

Mine will once I get a spare light sixer to modify.

Its going to be part of a better "FrankenAtari" I'm planning to build, again, when I get a light sixer. Complete with stereo/mono switch and speaker on/off switch.

I'm pretty sure leprechauns eat none other than Lucky Charms, I know this is true because Cody told me so. ;)

Yeah I'm still looking for a picture. It's not hard to go to the library and use a digital camera or whatever else. Show us a picture otherwise I'm going to have to think you are a fat freaking liar.

Thats really not smart of you to come on here, proclaim something, and then not be able to back it up in any way.

Smells like Swordquest AirWorld to me.
