The faster you complete the course the better. Hints and Tips As always, you really should read the manual. In case you don't have the manual, AtariAge has a typed copy and scanned copy of it available online. Here are the hints the manual provides: After playing this game a few times, you'll begin to learn the course. By knowing what is coming up ahead, you can keep your biplane at full speed. But, being able to fly through the barns and over the windmills is only the beginning. The real secret is in carefully navigating through the flocks of geese. With practice, it *is* possible to fly the course at full speed with no collisions. I wrote the pattern down on paper, saw the spots where I was having trouble and focused on improving there. They were the spots between 4 & 5, and 9 & 10. The spots with 3 windmills in between. My theory was to fly through the barn as close to the top as possible and fly over the windmills as close as possible. I guess I was on the right track, for the most part. Doing this=less up/down movement. Todd Rogers had a great way to play this game by putting marks on the TV screen for the spots he needed to be - of course you need to be skilled to put the planes pixel right on the mark - and even better marking the screen, but in the end it helped cut down on time. --Ze_ro

Deteacher
33.09! Don't know how to improve on a perfect run, but I've got a week to find out. This was done on the emulator. I can't get to the tv right now to try it on the actual hardware, but I will later on. For now, this will have to do. P.S. How do you capture a screenshot with Stella 2.2? I had to do a copy/paste through Paint, then Save As. Doesn't Stella let you capture screenshots? Thanks in advance. the 5th ghost
32.77 I had to really mess with the brightness and contrast to get the time to be more visible in my pic. I only got 32.75 once, which was sent to TG. I'd love to duplicate, or beat it for this week's competition. Great job to the others finishing under 33 seconds! Deteacher
I've played several times (as can be noted by all my screenshots posted.) I play the same way each time, yet the time is different each time I play. Does anyone know why this happens? Does flying closer to the windmills give you more speed? Does flying through the barns at different altitudes make a difference? Any ideas, or is the timing just a little more on the random side? Any thoughts out there? I'm curious to see what you all think.
Rom Hunter
It's dead simple. Going up and down slows down your speed. So don't go too much up or down.

ToddRogers
32.95 Greetings, As for cheating .....NOT... the reason why i put the tape on the screen was at the CGE2k2 i have to compensate for the difference in #1 the size difference of the TV #2 The lighting because of reflection #3 for me standing and not being at a correct angle , #4 to show Refs/People/Players that were new to the game how to get started, " Hello" sort of like training wheels....you see you have to be at a parfect angle to get that great of a score, and the time that i had achieved at that event was 32:50 "Not" the score that TG presently recognizes, due to some internal discrepancies. The simple fact that I had played in front of 3 TG referess and 30+ people you would think that would have been enough to be verified. SO thats my slant on the Barnstorming issue, Enjoy. Enclosed is an example of a 32:67 that was done on a previous HSC week. -Todd Mr Activision Rogers
