+Zeptari
Stupid Falcon question: Does the falcon have standard atari joystick ports? The pictures i've seen look like the ports on the left side have extra connectors/pins. And under the hood in the place where they are on my 1040 is nothing..? Is the Falcon missing the ST's mouse/joystick ports? Just wondering.. Here's the list i have of Falcon owners on AA so far: Name: tjlazer Location: Tacoma Name: Paolo Location: Italy Name: DarkLord Location: Prestonsburg, KY USA anyone else... I just keep track in case i have more Falcon questions for you guys... -Rick
+remowilliams
The Falcon has the same 9 pin ports underneath that the rest of the ST line has. It also has the two 15 pin 'extended' controller ports on the left side of the machine.

It shows the underside ports missing... strange.. Someday I hope to own one.

bearrr
I have a standard Falcon 14 mb/FPU and IDE to CF adapter, using a regular Compact Flash card as harddrive. I have also removed the internal speaker and cut the wires to the fan, so I have a dead silent Falcon! Well, except for the diskdrive. +Zeptari
They are pretty cheap, like 30 bucks or so. Any decent online comp store will have them. WOW!!! I though is was made special just for the Falcon! That's awesome! And the Falcon just sees it as just another ide device? Or do you need some program to get the falcon to use the CF-IDE combo?
