Ze_ro
Important Note: This weeks competition is over and no further scores will be accepted. Sneakers are the little critters who guard the prizes and they love nothing better then to trip up Fast Eddie. Eddie's only defense is to climb to another floor or hop over the little pests. Eddie can hurdle over them, with a little practice, except for the world's tallest Sneaker, High-Top, who guards the upper floor. Every time Eddie grabs a prize, High-Top gets shorter until Eddie is able to jump over him too! Picking up the key will award you with bonus points (Anyone figure out how the bonus points work?) Hints and Tips As always, you really should read the manual. In case you don't have the manual, AtariAge has a typed version online for your reading pleasure! Here are the hints it provides: * Learn to jump while running toward an oncomming Sneaker. This gives you the longest leap, and is the best way to play the game successfully. * Another strategy is to jump when you're right against the edge of the screen. The Sneakers will run under you and either pass by or bounce back before you come down. * Eddie is always safe while on a Ladder, but you must be extra careful when Eddie is on Ladders that align. A heavey hand on the joystick will have Eddie climbing up and down Ladders out of control. Since you can SELECT higher rounds, just train them some to be preapared reaching them after starting from round 1 --Ze_ro

shadow460
This must be some crazy coincidence... Please don't post my score on the socreboard--see below. Edited December 16, 2006 by shadow460

shadow460
Thought I'd point this out...there's a bug in the NTSC version that will allow you to collect unlimited 90 point prizes. It also allows you to choose which level the next prize will appear on. I'm not going to explain how to do it until after the next game is up. You should, however, only collect two 90 point prizes per stage, even if more appear. Yet another bug allows you to have another life even if you lose your last one. That said, my score this week should be removed from the scoreboard (my request). I haven't played Fast Eddie in ages, and I was relatively suprrised to find a couple of bugs that I never saw the first time. I don't think it's fair for me to post a score for Fast Eddie, since it's hard to not accidentally trigger one of these bugs. I'm leaving the photo up, though, since it's a coincidence that SpiceWare and I got the same score on the first try! Cybergoth
Pretty good score RH! I won't challenge it, I think I'm done with the game. The incredible difficulty jump above 20K kinda ruins the experience for me.

Deteacher
20,910! I totally forgot to get a score in. Don't know if I can get a better one in before the deadline, but this will do for now! EDIT: Make that 21,530. That'll have to do for this week. Great game, though! Ze_ro
Well, that's the end of this week's competition. I hope everyone enjoyed Fast Eddie! The next game will be posted shortly. --Zero
shadow460
Now that the competition is over, here are the bugs I found: First, if you miss a jump just after grabbing a prize and that costs your last life, the game doesn't always end. Second, if you grab prizes in rapid succession, you can grab both prizes before the numbers disappear that the first one left behind. Doing this will cause the next prize to appear where the numbers are. If the number 80 or 90 is still on screen when you grab the 90 point prizes, more prizes will appear where the numbers are! This allow you to daisy chain prize grabbing and get unlimited 90 point prizes in the lower rounds. I dropped out of the competition because I know this also allows you to choose where the prizes show up even if take only two 90 points prizes. I don't slow down in this game (it's not Slow Eddie, it's Fast Eddie) so sometimes I was able to force prizes to appear on certain platforms.
