Atari freak 1
I never got to go out to yard sales today, but I'm on my way out to a used store to see if anything new is there. Did anybody find anything today?

tamashii14
my atari hunts have gotten so depressing that i rarely go looking for atari anymore. now when i go out, i search for any low-priced game i don't already have. my nes collection is rapidly growing, but without e-bay my atari collection would be nothing to brag about. i did find my first intellivision today, but it only had a handfull of games and the lady wanted $60 for it. RangerG
I got quantity, but not quality. Still -- whenever I find something I am happy. I got 12 common Atari 2600 games (about half with manuals), 10 boxed complete Intellivision games and 8 loose Intellivision games. The Intellivision games are all pretty common, but it about doubled my collection of Intellivision games. The guy gave it all to me for $20. bjybjy
Today was town wide yardsale day. I live in a town of 724 people, so its isn't too exciting. I got a Complete near mint NES system with tons of accesories, 14 games, power pad and more for $10, 2 mint in box SNES games for $.50 each, and a rare mint handheld football game for $2. I think I've depleted the atari source over the years though, as I havn't found an atari game in about a year now. :-) Overall I'm happy though! CaliColts
Picked up a 1200XL and an Apple IIc for like $9 and 2 sealed Nintendo virtual boy carts for $2 each. Not a bad day only hitting 1 spot
joshk
You found a Virtual Boy cart? Sweet! I have 4 and I had to grab them from Ebay.
Andrew
Found a 4-switch Atari 2600 with two joysticks, two sets of paddles, AC,RF and 45 games for sixteen bucks. Zimag's I Want My Mommy and Activision's Space Shuttle and Dolphin were the only games of note. Though I did score five copies of Combat in the deal as well. Woo-hoo! Ze_ro
I bought a ton of Genesis sports games... only because they were ridiculously cheap. I ended up getting 6 Genesis games for the price of 2 NES games. I also managed to find Virtua Racing for the Genesis (although I didn't get nearly as good a deal on it): NES: A Boy And His Blob Gyruss Genesis: (All with box & manual) Brett Hull Hockey Mario Lemiuex Hockey NHL 96 NFL 97 NBA Showdown 94 FIFA International Soccer Virtua Racing Unfortunately, the Virtua Racing cart ended up being severly broken, with the back held on via tape. The game still works, and I glued the back back on, so it's not quite so bad anymore. For once I actually found some Atari stuff today! However, nothing really worthwhile... about a dozen Asteroids, Missile Commands and Combats. The only game I didn't have that I passed on was SeaQuest for $3. I also passed on a Space Panic for ColecoVision for the same price. --Zero
ARCZero
I dreamt about finding Star Wars and video game stuff at a flea market last night so I had to go hunting today. The cool thing about the dream was that the items I found don't really exist - one item was a handheld driving game from the early 80's that had C64 type graphics. Pretty cool dream I found the following: Boxed Keyboard Controllers - $8 NES Heroes of The Lance Boxed Complete - $3 NES Air Fortress loose - $3 Nothing spectacular but not too shabby

King Atari
Nothing this weekend. I could go and pick up a load of 29 cent Genesis sports games anytime I want, but it was rainy, and I just didn't feel like it.

Rob Mitchell
Well .. nothing Atari game related in some time .. But I did find an electric monorail train set complete in box for $2.99 with AC powerpack, monorail locomotive and three cars. This thing is soooo cool! I had to repair the locomotive .. and I need one new part .. which I expect to find .. and I'm up and running! Enough track to make a figure 8. Made by Remco 1970. Ze_ro
NES Pyramid $3.00 Is Pyramid actually rare? I saw a copy of it at a flea market recently for $5. I was thinking of picking it up, since it was in an unusual casing, but eventually I just left it behind. However, they had a copy of the Last Ninja that I'll have to go back for... otherwise I wouldn't be able to call myself a C-64 fan anymore --Zero
joshk
I looked it up on an older NES rarity list and it was listed as a A-. Rarist cart that I own for the NES.
woopop
Hi guys... I'm new to posting but I've been lurking for about 6 months now... Anyway, Buffalo has been rather good to me (I'm only just getting into this), I got a Vader 2600 about a year ago for $5 with about 20 games (all commons) and paddles and stuff, with the box! (Gold Circle $119.99!) and just yesterday at the Thrift Store "as-is" store (mostly always just junk) I found a regular sixer with power supply for $1.50! I was more excited because it had 6 switches more than anything else, I thought I had a heavy sixer until I read the thread above this today comparing the heavy vs the regular... my hunt continues too! (Shoulda been tipped off by the Made in Taiwan sticker). Garage Sale-ing also brought a NES Zelda and Link (both Gold carts) for $2 each, which I thought was fairly good... Cassidy Nolen
Got a Sunnyvale Heavy Sixer (Sears model). That is the second one this year we have found at this one thrift store. Could disclose where, but would have to kill all who found out! As for games, Missile Command, Apollo Racquetball, Popeye and Demon Attack. Not bad all in all. And I got a call from Stan Jr. telling me he found a SW Yoda for me at the local store. Stan is the man. BTW, trying to get boxed Activision games for my collection. Would be interested in trading the sixer for some specific Activision carts and their boxes/manuals. Email me if you are interested. Ze_ro
I looked it up on an older NES rarity list and it was listed as a A-. Rarist cart that I own for the NES. Cool, I'll have to go pick it up next weekend... unfortunately, I tried the game on a NES emulator, and it actually sucks... Oh well, at least Last Ninja will be good. --Zero
