Confused about Atari 8 bit (XL/XE) graphics modes
Philsan replied to Atari130XE's topic in Atari 8-Bit Computers
Above games and most Atari games run at 160x200 resolution like on C64. Not many games use 320x200 resolution because it is very limited on Atari (2.5 years older machines). There are other graphics modes and sometimes graphic modes are mixed (for example Bruce Lee, top line has a 320x200 resolution, remaining screen is 160x100, sprites have 160x200 resolution). Mixing graphics modes is not a trick, it's a feature, you only have to change the display list. Modifying display list you can easily extend default 192 pixels height to 240 pixels (full vertical PAL overscan). With Display list interrupts you can have many colors. It is not a trick too, it's mentioned in The Re Atari official manual, but it costs cycles. I don't know if Altirra shows graphics mode. But on Altirra you can save a screenshot. It is saved in 320x200 resolution. If you open it with a viewer (for example FastStone) you can check pixels size and ratio. You can count colors too. -

A lot of games have more than 16 colors (and overscan, one of A8 strenghts). -
Found how to reinitialize on HSC manual: Clearing Scores & Changing Personalized Name: If for some reason you wanted to wipe out the High Scores for a particular game or for all High Scores or if you wanted to change the Personalized Name of your cartridge you can enter the Maintenance Mode of the cartridge. 1. Insert a game that works with the High Score Cartridge such as Asteroids on top of the High Score Cartridge. 2. Wait 24 seconds for the High Score Screen to appear. 3. Press and hold the PAUSE button and press the Select Button. 4. You are now in the Maintenance Mode screen. Select what you would like to clear and press the FIRE button. Once complete move the Joystick to DO Nothing and press FIRE and select YES and you will EXIT the Maintenance Screen.

Is it possible to reinitialize HSC (to change the name)?

@MrFish I think Starmaster is missing from the list of 2600 games. -

The problem is sometimes it is impossible to keep dangerous files. I don't want too disable Safe browsing too. Edge doesn't have that issue. -

The included game Yoomp! would support stereo too but THE400 Mini doesn't have it... I hope Retro Games will fix that because many games and lot of demos and tunes are stereo.

SIO devices don't have CAR compatibility.

Default model should be the more compatible 800XL instead of 800
Philsan replied to Philsan's topic in THE400 Mini
I agree on the fact 130XE could be used too, I wasn't sure about compatibility because my default emulator setting is XL OS with 320KB RAM and it works most of the times.
