  1. Yeah, I was going to say the same thing, but that's ok. I think the funniest thing isn't that he posted it, it's that he made it sound like it was something new that he "discovered"! Ask me sometime about Adventure, there's a secret in that game that will BLOW YOUR MIND! Guys I know its hard for all you grizzled veterans to understand but there are still newbies out there just discovering the joy of the 2600 and the joy of Easter Eggs. Cut him some slack for no doubt he believed he was contributing and isn't this site all about contributing or am I wrong on that? hey your right about the contributing, hey guys i did not just google it, I've known about that cheat for a while, I first got a wooden atari 2600 in 1980 along with space invaders, pacman, combat off my grandad, as he worked for a well known electrical repair company called mastercare, I haven't got the original machine anymore which is a shame. plus it's worth quite a bit with the box lol
  2. Hey I didn't know about it back in 82 until I accidently turned the game on whilst holding down the reset button. I wouldn't be at all surprised if there other lost souls out there still living in the darkness seeking out the golden light that is the Atari 2600 VCS. Mind you there are probably still people out there who haven't heard that Betamax lost the VHS battle I knew about it in 82, I still got my ATARI 2600 Jr and 20 games, though the 2600 is broken it won't Select or Reset. The broken part is the plastic Membrane which is broken..... I have a replacement Atari 2600 Jr which cost £1.50 + £3.50 P&P from a shop from cash convertors in Grimsby UK, they said they can't test it because of no mains adaptor, so they are selling it untested in excellent condition, When it arrives I'm gonna use that for Spare parts. If it works I have a working console lol. If not back to the drawing board lol.
  3. Hi i have come across a cheat for space invaders which gives you two missiles instead of one. On an Atari 2600, (any) insert space invaders cartridge, press and hold reset and turn on console On Stella, before you select game press and hold F2 and double click game. I have tested this with stella ver 2.3.5.0
  4. Hi I'm a noobie to this forum. I live in the uk and I own an Atari 2600 Junior model with 22 Games in total. I am looking for a plastic membrane that fits underneath the select and reset buttons, and it connects to the black connector on the 2600's pcb on the right hand side. (See Attached Photo) Can anyone help me with this matter? I t's such a shame as the machine still works, but i can only play games that autostart with the "fire" button on the controller.
