  1. ATR8000 for sale: https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/266127615040?_trkparms=amclksrc%3DITM%26aid%3D111001%26algo%3DREC.SEED%26ao%3D1%26asc%3D20211130125621%26meid%3D328af64552ca4a019932d7510b406c55%26pid%3D101465%26rk%3D1%26rkt%3D4%26sd%3D266127615040%26itm%3D266127615040%26pmt%3D1%26noa%3D1%26pg%3D3650466%26brand%3DAtari&_trksid=p3650466.c101465.m3507

  4. Someone on ebay selling arabic Atari... https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Atari-65XE-Najm-Home-Computer-Arabic-English-very-Rare-PAL-Vintage-Game/363144251339?hash=item548d1587cb:g:C80AAOSwwz1f774c I remember discussions about this some time ago
  5. I always thought least significant bit as a "clock count" and the falling edge of the most significant bit to be the "count reset".
  6. Have you disabled BASIC? it's on the control menu.
  7. Have you seen these: TTL-232R-5V-WE http://www.amazon.co.uk/Usb-TTL-Cable-TTL-232R-5V-WE-Compatible/dp/B007204T44/ref=pd_sim_23_2?ie=UTF8&dpID=41Qfr21egXL&dpSrc=sims&preST=_AC_UL160_SR160%2C160_&refRID=1JVW0Z29Z1X9E4AQRCDR looks like you can solder a SIO plug, and you have one neat solution. Beware there are some that are cheaper but they only seem to have RX/TX pair (No Handshake lines)
  8. History of Mac OS X is not so good with external Joysticks. As I understand there was no official library till very recently. So I am wondering if the emulator has support yet? Sorry not used Atari800Mac for a long while now. Anyway as an alternative you may want to have a look at one of the following sites: http://www.carvware.com/ http://www.usboverdrive.com/USBOverdrive/News.html Both allow mapping of controllers to various keystrokes and mouse actions. They worked very well when I last played with them a few years ago now.
  9. Interesting, Mine are all different to that, and that is about 8 of them. OK then just wire up the two bare wires to live and neutral pins of the mains plug. One to each. The internal transformer won't care. Only issue might be an internal fuse. But plugs are externally fused in the UK anyway. remember 3 Amp fuse should be fine.
  10. can you take a photo of the PSU. Showing all the cables?
  11. Then this is the seconday (9V ac output) cable. DO NOT wire this to the mains!!!!!!
  12. In the input/mains cable you should have two wires; one blue and one brown. The Brown one goes to the Live pin of the plug, this is the one with a inline fuse connected, The Blue cable goes to the Neutral pin of the plug. The top pin (its a longer pin) is for earth connections this isn't used, for this Power unit. ALSO Please make sure you have a low rated fuse in the fuse holder of the plug (3 Amps should be OK). Dont leave the default 13 AMP fuse in.
  13. I have a stock 800 (48K) Picture quality is great and the keyboard is really nice. For storage, most of the SD flash systems, SIO2USB, APE (USB) and 3 1050s Also have a 130XE but the RAM has been removed, and is WiP. For the 800 I want to add extra memory, a MyIDE interface and stereo, life is just getting in the way what really matters
