  1. Wow! That's great you even have a screen shot. BTW, sorry for the typo in the title "sitings"
  2. In the opening scene of the "Furley vs. Furley" episode of "Three's Company", which just aired on TV Land, Jack and Janet are playing Atari 2600! The console is clearly sitting on the coffeetable. They each have the iconic 2600 joystick. They are playing some footbal sports game, maybe fictious? Talk about double memory flashback... Atari and Three's Company!
  3. i also found an 'rf modulator' at radio shack, although i'm not sure if it's bi-directional. well, maybe i can find an engineering friend to solder one up for me... thanks for the tip on the second vcr, bjk. that sounds easy enough.
  4. yes, exactly. see, i knew i'd get a fast response on atariage. but $45 for it?? geez. maybe i'll stick with the old tv/console switch. any thoughts on this issue guys? what do atari agers use?
  5. Hi everyone. I want to hook up my 2600 to my new TV. I know I could do it with the good old tv/console RF switch and RF adapter, but is there a hardware unit to use the video in plugs instead of the coaxial cable adapter?? thanks!
  6. maybe sears has a warehouse full of tele-games systems...
  7. haven't you been to walmart recently? in honor of the 30th anniversary of the atari 2600, all cartridge manufacturers are selling their MIB leftovers for $1.99 brand new vintage!!! better hurry!!! just kidding.... i wish it were true....
  8. looks like the guy is selling off a huge collection of 2600 games...
  9. LOL... i guess i deserve that one.
  10. something similar happened to me... i got a MIB atari 2600 from a non-atari seller. she was selling a bunch of random junk from her basement. it even had original bubble wrap. i thought about requesting a specific type of shipping package. i thought it would be pretty obvious though--just wrap something around the original box. WELL, she finds another box and stuffs everything inside it. that was fine for the console, joysticks, etc. BUT THEN SHE FOLDS THE ORIGINAL BOX SEVERAL TIMES and stuffs it in the box. IT NOW HAS CREASE MARKS ALL OVER IT! oh well, at least a crease is better than priority mail tape and postage! brett6400
  11. I just saw the Felicity tv show episode "Crash." One of the characters gets a playstation and spends lots of time playing video games instead of studying. When a girl asks him about it, he mentions early videogames--Atari with stick figure basketball, then Nintendo with Super Mario Bros.
  12. i have a pong system on ebay now too... http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewI...item=1393437509 it's a Radio Shack Electronic TV Scoreboard 60-3060 with box, manual, etc
  13. congrats! i had my first wild find after buying stuff on ebay exclusively for a few months. wild finds are the best!
  14. my best thrift store find to date: miner 2049er for $2.99 i left the price marking on it as a reminder. it has no box or instructions, but the cart and label are in really good shape.
  15. i will try to make it, but i'll be in connecticut until sometime sat afternoon. hope to see you all at the trade meet. brett6400
