  1. But the magazines reputation is defined by the articles in it. I realize my comments against RTM Idiocy's author come off as scathing, but he's no stranger to that manner of writing.
  2. Well Mark, my "legitimate criticism" is that the magazine started going down the toilet with the issue that first featured RTM idiocy. RTM used to be about celebrating Retro gaming. Yeah, there was the occasional bad review of a game, but not a monthly bit that served no purpose save for hating on something. COCO being a second, or third rate computer or not, RTM suffers because of that hate monthly piece.
  3. Life got in the way of me doing any more additions to "Who'd Win?", so I've become just another reader, but I gotta tell ya, my least favorite article is "RTM Idiocy". In lolcat terminology it has an angry, an angry that doesn't fit RTM one bit. Plus I can't stand people who rip on the Coco.
  4. I thought the TRS-80 article was a bit much. Bordering on reverse fanboyism. It wasn't nearly as bad a system as it's made out to be, I loved my little Coco 2. So much so that I even made my own OS-tan for it. I was considering writing for RTM again, but if that sort of attitude is welcomed, I think not!
  5. Quick note: There was a titling error, this month's "Who'd Win?" has the same title as last months on the RTM issue page. I've tried contacting Scott about doing a correction, but he hasn't responded. Also forgive the "?"s in this months article, the font they use for the site apparently doesn't support the reveresed R. For those wondering why I'm not doing a "Who'd Win?" for November; I'm spending most of the month working on getting the rest of my comic books published.
  6. Apparently! I recently played "Intellivision Lives!" on the PS2...how the hell did they manage to muck up the controls so badly?! Also I would like to clarify something from my article. I called both games bad ports, but later commended Golden Axe on being a good game. This is because as a port of an existing game it is crap, but as a game standing on it's own two legs, it's good!
  7. Game gear. I can play that for all of five minutes, every few months.
  8. I've played a full game. It's simplified, but that really doesn't detract from the game! As someone who's played Civ since the original, I think it was very well done.
  9. I own the 360 verison, but Capcom being the crafty devils that they are have me wanting this version as well!
  10. Glad you liked "Who'd Win?"! I think value is in the eye of the beholder. That SNK compilation has a lot of games for $19.99, where as King of the Monsters is $9.00. I don't want all of those other games, I only want King of the Monsters. So to me at least the $9.00 is the better value.
  11. I wonder what those grey slider dials are on the bottom of the controllers...
  12. I like it, it's one of those games that gets a bad reputation because people expected far too much from it.
  13. Really can't go wrong with it. If you REALLY feel like being a badass you can play it without the sights turned on.
  14. Not really, I've been picking up alot of great games pretty cheap. Hey, all of those 2005 360 games are new to me!
