  1. Really? Your GameStop sells last generation games for under $5? Damn. I was looking at Gamecube games at my GameStop a few weeks ago. They had rows and rows of them in paper envelopes, no boxes or manuals, just the discs. I don't think I saw a single game under $6.99, and most of them were $9.99 and up. This is why I haven't purchased anything at GameStop in years. Well in the last 12 months or so many games have dropped in price. One week I see a game for $10 the next week (with the sticker stating a price change the day before) it was $1. I must have gotten at least 30 games for $1 each by now This is for mostly the Original XBox games but I've seen it with some Gamecube games being $5 and under as well. But their gamecube games selection is being phased out. Weird thing is some Original XBox games are cheaper then PS2 version which most of the time would have sold more. I picked up one game for $5 and the PS2 version was $15. Of course the stores in my area have a moronic pricing system which explains some of it. Where "new" copies are cheaper then used games. Even this Gen games, Last week I saw Goldeneye Wii used $34.99 "new" $27.99
  2. Hell that doesn't sound too bad, are you saying last gen as in...anything that isn't Xbox 360 PS3 or Wii? If so I might need to forward you my wish list Well the one here has a pretty slim selection of games so you should try to find other AA members that have one in their area http://www.gamerdoc.com/locations.aspx
  3. I've bought a "new" game there because they didn't have any used copies at that store or any others in my city and it was scratched to shit, I've bought used games and they look like new I do as well the only problem is some independent shops never lower their prices. you see games sitting on the self so long that is has sun damage. They are used already so for last generation games it's a toss up of buying it at a independent shop for $5-$15 or get it at EB/GS for $5 and under. Their is a chain here called gamerdoc and when you buy something there they open up an account based on your name and phone number, they input what ever you buy into your account and you have a lifetime warranty on what ever games you buy. All last gen games are $3 unless priced otherwise. http://www.gamerdoc.com/
  4. I should elaborate on Deathtrow. In the loading screen ads they are just static images that change every few seconds in the bottom left hand corner of the screen. Like of those you may see in replays in televised sporting event.
  5. The fake ads in Deaththrow are pretty good. They make the televised futuristic sport more organic. They only real ads in the game is for Rockstar energy drinks, but they are rarely on the loading screens only on some of the arena billboards.
  6. In VOL 2 you can, My bother and I kept having to load a save over a over so we had enough time to enter our initials at the high score screen for Block Block (breakout like game). Must of took 10 tries at least until we both did it in time.
  7. Yeah I got a copy at EB for $1 a few weeks back. It's ok but you can really tell it had budget tittle production values, you covered the majority of its faults in that thread.
  8. There was the game George Romero's City of the Dead that was set to be released in 06, it got canned. http://www.gamefaqs.com/pc/927719-george-romeros-city-of-the-dead http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/City_of_the_Dead_%28video_game%29
  9. I don't think so, there is one in a mall in my city that is about half the size of an average EB/GS. Judging from the last time I went a month or so ago, they don't carry Original XBox of Gamecube games anymore but they have at least one rack front and back filled with PS2 games. Wait.... what??? PS1 games?! Stores in my area discontinued carrying those, oh, I don't know.. five years ago or so? From all the 8 or so stores in my city and the adjacent town and City that I've been too they all have at least a dozen or so PS1 games in store each. Some even have 1 or 2 N64 games in the case with the loose DS/GBA/GB games.
  10. For a brick and mortar place some of the Beatgoeson stores have them, They charge $1 per disc I believe.
  11. They haven't gone this far in my area and the adjacent town. The only games I've seen on counters in the sleeves rack are PS1 and DS/GBA games. They have been dropping pricing of used last gen games dramatically, Example: Spy Vs. Spy for Xbox one week $10 the next $1, same deal for Panzer Dragoon Orta from $10 to $1. I've gotten at least 30 games in the last 6 months from these price drops for $1-$3, any case less games come in a generic DVD cases with the store insert. The store closest to me in a mall has 90% of their used Original XBox games are in generic DVD cases. They don't seem at all to be concerned about saving space as they never drop prices of "new" last gen games I've seen a stack in a corner of one store of 80 or more "new" Original XBox games that haven't had there sticker price changed since 09, games they want $10-$20 when you can get CIB used copies for $5 or less in the same store.
  12. XBC and Xlink but of course the 360 has the system-link ping limit (unless you mod your 360) to deter people from using such programs like so many did for Halo 2 last generation. So you are forced to pay for Live to play online multiplayer. Not many games have system-link now a days or split-screen anyway so when the company shuts down the multiplayer servers for what ever reason you’re SOL multiplayer wise. It would have been nice if people could download title updates and content from the host or other players but you can’t, as many games you can’t join a game were the host has DLC (content &/or update) when you don’t have it and vice versa. There is an Original Xbox DLC archive/installers project for a few years (You need a modded Original Xbox to use the installers) The Original Xbox live support was shut down on April 15th of this year. 95% of the DLC was free in the first place or over time, since its no longer available for purchase it’s basically abandonware now. That’s the end of my rambling on
