  1. interesting ! so this works on STe (68000)? how is the quality ? there's the HAMP player for Amiga, which plays HAM converted movies ... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=O2k3fh_I5JQ
  2. am I dreaming or there were some double booting games ? a single floppy which can boot the same game on both Amiga and ST ?
  3. hmm, I thought Canada was in France ?
  4. yup, I'ld buy them all too, but one of the downsides of living in japan is that living space is so ****ing small. I can't really afford to keep any retro stuff that I won't ever use (I already have a lot). still puzzled about these stuff, I think I'm gonna get the megafile (and sell it again later) and maybe a mega st.
  5. is there anyway we can contact this psyke ? I think I can persuade him to stop pestering with the a-f ...
  6. damn, there goes my dreams of CF modded megafiles but I may get them anyway just for the sake of playing with them. I can buy megafile 60for 5$, vortex plus 40 for 5$, mega st 2 with vortex 40 for 25$, mega st 4 bare unit for 25$, mega st 4 with new keyboard (french layout) for 30 $, mega st 4 (german roms) for 10$, which ones do you think are a bargain ? I already have a 1040 STe, can a Mega ST 4 offer anything that I can't do with my STe ?
  7. Hello all, I'm in a position to get a megafile 60 and Vortex HD plus 40. What I'm wondering is if the drives inside these are legacy SCSI drives ? So that I can replace the drive with a newer SCSI drive or maybe even a SCSI-IDE-CF adapter ? Also how much do you think are these worth ? many thanks, CoZe
  8. you're forgetting Amstrad CPC plus, which was a beast. Unfortunately nobody bothered to make use of its capabilities, cause 8 bits were dead by that time. http://www.old-computers.com/museum/computer.asp?c=26 some CPC Plus demos, some of them look really amazing for an 8 bit !
  9. if you can afford an A600 or A1200, you can use cheap 2.5 laptop HDDs and avoid the floppy hassle. There is a program called whdload which installs floppy games to amiga hdd. Of course there are external HDD for the A500 too, but they're usually as expensive as an A1200 so no point really.
  10. you could try the lurking horror http://www.lemonamiga.com/games/details.php?id=1428 http://www.atarilegend.com/games/games_det...hp?game_id=3446
  11. Both Atari 8 bits and Commodore 64 suck. The best 8 bit system ever is the Sharp X1.
  12. A keyboard attachment is not a computer. This is not a grammatical mistake.
  13. hmm, yes don't want sound mean but you seem to have paid little bit more than necessary. But as long as it works and you have fun, all is good !
  14. ok, to make myself clear, this is not a shitfight. I just want to know what Atari users considers as the best demo on A8, and why do they think it is superior to C64 demos (if they think so). So far I have no answers. I will not directly answer anyone to avoid the shitfight. I just want to see the answers. The stage is yours I'm sorry but Atari vs Commodore thread is very long, lots of off topic talk and there's no guarantee I'm gonna find what I'm looking for there.
  15. OK, I've read the Atari vs Commodore thread and I'll post just one question. Give me the best A8 Demo ever made to save your lovely Atari from the Edge of Disgrace ...
