#4257793 TI-99/4A - HAM Radio (Hamsoft/Kantronics/MFJ Enterprises)

The one I have borrowed has software 2.0 on it.  I see above you guys have 1.2 and 2.2.

Here's the 2.0 ROM.

I'm still looking for a manual and PSU specifications for "The Interface" by Kantronics.  The sidecar doesn't need a PSU, but "The Interface" terminal unit does need one.  Also need guidance on hooking it up to my shortwave so I can see if it still decodes RTTY and CW.

The electrolytic caps are no fun when they explode and fill the whole room with fuzz either. ;)

The YouTube rabbit hole stuck again... it thought I'd enjoy to watch this video (gotta admit, it's really neat:  )

Not mine.  Corcomp 9900 Mini PES (32K, RS232, Serial - NO disk, NO PSU):  https://www.ebay.com...0?ul_noapp=true

I do have a PSU spare laying around that I bought for these.  Will have to find how much I paid for it.  So if you buy this, let me know and I'll research the PSU cost for you.

Once I get a little more practice I might make a video. Otherwise, I am just memorializing my embarrassment.

I have considered doing a stream of people playing it at VCF-SE.  Would need to put together some equipment and clear it with the organization, first.

I’ll have my stock console there with my copy, so you don’t need to bring an extra. Will also bring a durable joystick and my TI PI just in case we need to do anything.

Some notes - the cassette board is broken in the same place.

There are two LEDs.

Also note that adding a 32K cart only brings it from 6K to 18K.

There's no magic. I've been working up to this for years and years. Nobody pays attention so you just /think/ it popped up out of nowhere. :)

Yup.

The image converter, to the video converter, to all the cartridge work. And bank switching on address and data lines, I'm really gonna want to see a write-up on it eventually, Tursi :)

The reason I brought up Door Door: Since Tiny Yarou did this on the Tutor already, he likely has the graphic and sound assets to get it done for the 4A. The game engine is probably the most work to translate.

The soundtrack is really cool and gameplay looks addicting.

We would have to get in touch with him to see if he would be willing to share his code. I don’t read Japanese well, and haven’t invested the time to translate everything to even see if there is a ROM for his Tutor port.

Cannot disagree there.  I know during one of my conversations with him I pointed him here.  So far as I know he never showed up in the forum.  I also invited him to the Chicago Faire.

Yeah, his prices are way out of the ballpark.
Being that he likely has quantity of this stuff, and it’s already been out forever in circulation, the market is really die hard collectors at those prices. And, there are only so many of them in our community.

Now, take a one of a kind cartridge and auction it, and I guarantee the price will shoot up on its own. It’s what the market will bear.

I'll sign the beta cart if someone wants to buy that ;)

Slightly off topic from DL.

If you send Jim and I your beta Ubergrom, we’ll sign it. I have my first proto of it too. We can then offer that up for grabs and donate the money somewhere. Lol
