  1. Aw bummer dude! I don't even know ax but I was pulling for an AA member to win this one. Auctions p*** me off too. I wonder if eBay has considered some sort of "going once, going twice" feature instead of a strict countdown? They don't endorse sniping but let's face it - a lot of money comes in at the last second. Imagine how much $$ they have missed out on because someone failed to get a higher bid in at the last second due to user interface failure?
  2. Is any of this available for sale online? I'm interested in your boxed game boy but I don't live near you.
  3. Over the last couple days I've been to multiple goodwill stores in my area (still have 2 that I want to hit) but didn't end up buying anything, pickins were slim. The only boxed item of interest that I saw was an original Nintendo Power Glove, but I didn't really know the market value of these. It had a bunch of collateral materials (instructions, promotions, etc) still in there but the box was really banged up and had one flap ripped completely off, though the missing flap was inside the box (I found this one in the "toys" aisle and I got the impression many many kids had pulled that thing out of the box and slipped it on) and when I got back to my computer to look it up I see a mixed bag of interest on ebay, but I think this one was missing some sort of sensor needed to play, so I don't think it's worth my time. If anything I never owned one as a kid and I'd be mildly interested in going back to get it just to add it to my already large collection of (mostly unboxed) NES stuff. Another item that caught my eye was a Xavix system and a bunch of games/accessories in a plain cardboard box going for about $20. I haven't looked that one up, anyone know if there's an interest for those? Like the glove, I'd probably be more interested in adding it to my own collection than trying to sell it, but I've been on an ebay kick lately and don't really want to buy more stuff just yet. Finally I saw one of those classic Atari 2600-shaped controllers that plug right into your TV (I think made by Jakks Pacific) that contains various Atari games. Again I didn't pick it up but was thinking it would look cool just sitting on my desk at work, representing my gaming roots
  4. I guess I should never say never. After complaining that I've never had a 'best offer' accepted (and rarely even acknowledged) I just won a pretty descent boxed system & games on a bid that was 35% under his buy it now price, which wasn't a bad price to begin with. No haggling, just accepted my lowball offer. He didn't really take long to consider it, and I don't think it was an 'auto accept' because the guy sent me a personal message right away. Of course, I should probably reserve final judgment for after the stuff arrives. Could be that he was feeling guilty about something...
  5. This one is pretty good... http://www.atariage.com/2600/archives/consoles.html Thanks thanatos - I knew the answer would be embarassingly obvious
  6. Sorry if this is covered elsewhere in the forum and I don't know about it (I tend to lurk in the marketplace forum pretty exclusively) but is there a site that has a good comparison chart (with pictures) of all the various Atari models?
  7. I've yet to have a "best offer" accepted on ebay, and I generally make a first offer that's a little uncomfortably high for me. Most of the time I just watch them expire with no contact of any kind from the seller. Seems completely pointless to me.
  8. Unfortunately I don't have what you need but I'm sending you a PM with an email address of a guy who just might.
  9. I have some duplicate systems without a box to live in. Is anyone willing to part with any classic system boxes for free/cheap? Not too concerned about manuals/packing materials, but if you have 'em I'm interested. Need: Sega Genesis BOX Sega Master System BOX Colecovision BOX NES BOX SNES BOX Turbografx 16 BOX Or if anyone can point me towards a place that specializes in this sort of thing I'd be grateful. Thanks! +PH
  10. No doubt you are correct (probably why that one's last on my list)! I may have to settle for an unboxed AES, but like I said I can be patient - the right deal always comes along eventually!
  11. Rick - I purchased a boxed Intellivision 1 today (updated post just now). I wasn't considering a II but if you want to PM me with your asking price I'll let you know if I'm interested. Thanks! +PH
  12. I'm looking for good deals the following consoles to round out/replace items in my personal collection: Vectrex Virtual Boy Jaguar Intellivision Neo Geo (AES) Must be in clean/working condition, including all cables & controllers. Original boxes highly preferred (regretting throwing out boxes of some of my classic systems ) Thanks! +PH EDIT: purchased Intellivision, but I'll leave the reference up until delivery is complete. EDIT2: purchased Virtual Boy & Oddysey 2 systems
  13. I'd be interested in the Virtual Boy if your buyer falls through.
