  1. I fixed my GameGear sound caps here a few months back. However, replaced only 2 of the smaller 47uF ones. Heres my thread about it link This page is very usefull if you're gonna go soldering a Game Gear Repairing a GameGear In the end I just went to nearest electronics component store, got the caps and spent maybe an hour or two on the GG, part due to the fact that the solder had problem sticking to the PCB contacts. But other than that, the repair was rather easy. The capacitors are rather cheap too, here in UK, i think i paid somethign like, £1.00 for a whole set of sound board Caps.
  2. Rather unusual thread idea, can be interesting to see how this works out. But here would be a couple sketchy "paintings" I've done ages ago.
  3. Made me just wonder. Is it a "honor" thing or something, or why dont people simply spam Holywater on the second form, if they think dracula is hard? Having a multiplier pretty much makes dracula freeze and just slowly take damage.
  4. Resident Evil 4? You mean RE2? Yeah, I've heard its a quite good port of the PSX version, considering the N64 cartridge capacity. Also to add to the list of Must-haves, F-Zero X.
  5. Superman 64. Sorry, just had to. But really, even if it might not be everyones cup of tea, Donkey Kong64 was a quite nice adventure game, with quite open world. And even if its not an adventure game, Super Smash Bros. is a N64 must have.
  6. Not to go too much off-topic. What's peoples opinion on these chinese replacement batteries that eBay is full of? Can they be trusted, and if not, where to get proper one?
  7. And hope the disk drive rubber band is okay. Tho replacing those shouldnt be much of a hassle. But theyre way too overpriced, for a simple rubber band. My Sharp Twin Famicom has given me disk read error maybe twice so far. But havent been using it that often either. Also I assume there is no significant difference between the Cartridge and Disk version of Akumajo Densetsu(CVIII)?
  8. I actually made my own Tri-wing bit ages ago, but that was for the DMG-01 model, which are larger than the ones used in GBC-> I think the GBA carts still use the larger screws. I still recommend getting a proper Tri-wing, just in case to have them opened in a safe way without accidentally mutilating any screws.
  9. Hmm, and I thought GBCs are so cheap nowadays that people wouldnt even bother to repair them. But the D-Pad, you sure its not just worn out rubber pads? Those can be replaced, or the pads can be repainted with conductive paint.
  10. Haha, oh wow. I can see some Simons Quest and Tengen Gauntlet? This is why living in Europe, or atleast in the wrong part of it, is so unfair. Never had chances like these.
  11. Well, there is that Zelda LttP port. Also the "classic range" of NES titles, Zelda, Excitebike, Castlevania, etc. In RPGs theres always Golden Sun and Final Fantasy titles, I especially recommend FF Tactics Advance. Metroid Zero Mission is supposed to be a "remake" of the NES title. I'd also recommend Fire Emblem and Advance Wars, if Turn-Based Strategies are in your interest. I should get back into GBA games...
  12. Hah, thats pretty neat. Tho those kids look kinda bored, like they wouldnt even know what a NES is.
  13. Tho, out of the things on that site, I'd have to say the WideBoy and Shantae. Quite strange really why the WideBoy got never publically released. It would've been awesome.
