  1. It is up to the mods to move it if I mistakenly put it in the wrong area..prior to today I had no idea there was another place for this since I only collect Atari Lynx games etc. I never scrolled past there. Once I realized that the payment did not go through I sent it today. I assure you that I tried to send it on Dec 7, 2010 and I must have messed up somehow. When you responded with the bonus pic I assumed that meant you got your refund. I am sorry to you and only you JCP I did not mean for this to go this way if people (other than you) minded their business it would have gone down much smoother I assure you but as the seller I assume all responsibility. Eric you are really an instigator...you really shouldn't instigate since you are such a well respected member of this community it makes you look bad. You should be minding your own business rather than instigating arguments and posting things that have no relevance or bearing on the conversation at hand. Tell me how does "C'mon Mr. business man...no refund yet?" add to the conversation. It doesn't.
  2. I'm sorry, but unless I'm missing something, you don't actually run a business. Do you have a business license, a business tax id number and are you planning on paying income tax on the sale of the game? I have no problem with someone charging actual shipping costs (including a box if for some reason you can't find one free somewhere), but the point is you gouged this guy on shipping to begin with and didn't refund him until he posted here. A reputable seller would never have had to be asked to do so. Instead of taking an offensive posture towards long-standing members here, as a new member who is using the site simply to resell stuff, you should probably be a lot more moderate in your tone and just admit you made a mistake and move on. I don't see the relevance of when people joined to this conversation I am merely pointing out that I was not trying to rip anyone off ebay advised me that is what I should charge for shipping and once I realized the problem I corrected it. I apologize that I didn't realize sooner to appease all of the third party commentators on this site. If you read what the purchaser wrote on here you can see that he is not upset at all so none of you should be either because this does not concern anyone else but the buyer and me.
  3. How do you think businesses operate? You think they arbitrarily set a price on a product? I am pretty sure they pay a price for a bulk amount of a product then determine what their operating costs are (ie cost to rent building, cost to heat building, cost in property taxes etc) then determine how much more than what they paid for the product they need to charge. Since in my case the only two costs (other than ebay fees) to running my business are are shipping and the products I use to ship the item I am going to ensure that I don't take a loss on those. I don't see what is so hard to understand with this. I especially see nothing wrong with this since the buyer has not had a problem other than the one that was corrected. I also notice that you did not complain when Lynx Poker was asking for more money if you wanted it in a box than that of a loose cart? How is that any different?
  4. I agree Not to sound rude but Ebay set that price not me for international shipping. I am talking to the other people that responded. I will refund you $9.50 ( I had a $2 handling fee) later this evening I am stepping out at the moment but wanted to let you know what is going on. Actually, Ebay doesn't set shipping prices. They have a calculator you can use and sometimes it's off. In those cases, it would be appropriate to refund the buyer the excess shipping without having to be asked. I agree 100% with that... and a handling fee for a Lynx game?! C'mon?! That is just silly. You sound like an infomercial that sets a price at 3 monthly installments at $19.99 each, with free shipping, but a $45 processing fee and a $5 handling charge. Merry Christmas... eh? LOL You can conduct business how you want to and I will do the same. I don't appreciate your negative attitude with how I am conducting business. Perhaps you failed to realize that I had to purchase a box to ship the game in...who do you think should absorb that cost?...the seller?

  6. I shipped it I think on Wednesday...I hope you enjoy it as much as I did. Let me know when you get it...I had a problem when I sold Rampage for Lynx to some one in Italy. They said they never got it and I did send it but stupidly threw away my shipping receipts because it had been like 20 days since the auction ended. I am still mad about that...I sold my beloved game and was out over $50.00.
  7. Well now I am selling my copy of Desert Strike for the Atari Lynx. I have recently located a sealed copy of the game and no longer play it so I have decided to sell my complete in box copy of the game. I know a fellow member of this site won my last game and I would like to continue that trend since I know you guys all collect Lynx stuff as much as I do (nearly complete collection of original games that are not eprom/proto's). Desert Strike for Lynx: eBay Auction -- Item Number: 250738329188
  8. Just letting everyone know that I am selling my complete in box copy of Lemmings for Lynx. It is in very good condition and I want it to go to a real lynx collector rather than some one who is going to resell it. I am selling it because I just got a new in box copy of it and have now almost completed my collection. Thanks. Ebay listing for Lemmings: eBay Auction -- Item Number: 250731635810
  9. All I know is the box has a sticker on it that says EVERON and the sticker appears to have aged similarly to the box. Also the serial numbers on the system match the ones on the box. I am just curious to find out if I truly bought a display model lynx or if I was slightly ripped off.
  10. That is what I took from the information but that is not what I got in the auction I won. I don't know which one to believe the site or the auction that I won. If I believe the seller then I have to assume that this lynx is just made to last longer and handle more abuse than normal production lynx's and the old information in the link is wrong. If I believe the site then the person that sold it to me either slapped a sticker on a regular lynx box to make it look like a rare item or bought it from some one who made the same mistake I did. I know I am relatively new to this site but I have been playing the lynx since it came out and I have accumulated nearly every non protoype/homebrew game ever made in new condition. I would appreciate any help I can get with this. P.S. you can navigate through that link I gave you and find some other information about the lynx. Here is something I found. You may already be familiar with this http://www.atariarchives.org/cfn/
  11. I am the person that won this item and I am not sure it is the real deal. I powered it up and the buttons all work. From what I have read they are not supposed to work at all. Also the on button works and again I read that it was supposed to be light sensitive and turn on automatically when the store's lights would turn on in the morning so the retailers would not forget to turn on the system. Please let me know if I am wrong. The serial numbers on the box match the ones on the system. Is this true?! I haven't heard of this before (I'm not an expert at the kiosk type of displays though). However, if the above description is true, I want one of those suckers! I seriously considered bidding on this but my bad luck with bad Lynx II units turned me off. Plus I had no idea what it really was just compelled to want it, lol. Here is a link to what I found on the net. It was the only information I could find and it made me purchase the system. If you search for "everon" on the page it will take you right to the information or for those who don't know how to do that it is about %25 of the way down from the top. http://www.atariarchives.org/cfn/12/03/0055.php
