  1. But it's really enjoyable for what it is. Miniature golf video games are kinda rare to begin with, and this one is really fun, in my opinion, despite being short.
  2. I recently sold an expensive item to travistouchdown (Rick), and it was a very smooth transaction. He paid immediately, and his correspondence was always very pleasant. He is clearly a very trustworthy person. I would do business with him again, and I encourage folks here to do the same.
  3. I wanted to comment on this forum because it seems like everyone here thinks that KRAZY ACE MINIATURE GOLF is a lousy game. I couldn't disagree more. Although it is obvious that this game is an unfinished prototype, I still think it is loads of fun. It is one of the only (aside from Ponx) Lynx games that allows two players on one Lynx. Thus, since I only have one Lynx, my wife and I can play this game together. It is not exciting or brilliant, but simple old-fashioned fun. It is really colorful with cute graphics and sounds effects. Though this may seem lame to some people here, KRAZY ACE is actually one of my most-played Lynx games. It doesn't require deep attention or an extended period of time. You can just play it for a short time (yourself or with a significant other) and enjoy it for what it is. As I already have a copy (and it's not for sale!), I don't need this Telegames UK pre-order. But I would encourage those who don't have it to pre-order it from them as their price is actually cheaper than what I paid for it in the US. I think it's actually a good service of theirs that they will make these on demand.
  4. Yes indeed, I think we are on the same page, just maybe my wording was imprecise. I was referring to having the 68K do nothing more than read joypad instructions once it boots the Jaguar. (I have a print copy of the JM interview.) EVERYTHING else about the game would be done by the other 4 processors. I had read that this is precisely what was done with Battlesphere, but then was told by someone else that that is nothing but a myth and that Battlesphere uses the 68K for in-game performance well after the system has been booted. So, getting back to your earlier post: which Jaguar games rely little or not at all on the 68K after the system has been booted up (aside from the keypad...)? Everything I have read shows that games like Tempest, AVP, Doom, etc. rely on the 68K as a central game-driving processor. But I would love to be corrected! Happy New Year!
  5. I simply counted the levels listed by name by doctorclu. When you add them together, they add up to 18. Perhaps the first level of each country does not have a separate name, and thus adding 5 countries to the 18 sublevels in the totality of each of the countries that doctorclu listed, brings you to a total of 23 levels altogether?
  6. DoctorClu, I have you to thank for my current fondness for, and success in, Bubsy! Thanks for listing all the levels in Soccer Kid. The problem is that they only add up to 18, while Songbird says the game has 20+ levels (which I'm guessing means 21). What gives?
  7. I will check the passwords as soon as I have access to this game and my Jaguar. I hear what you're saying about why Carl may not have had access to the codes. Still, there should be a record of these codes on some of the gaming websites. As far as levels, is it really 4 per country? I guess if that were true, the 5 countries we now know about would be all there are. Is a boss stage counted as a "level"? Plus, Songbird says there are 20+ levels, so one of these countries would need even more than 4 stages. (You wrote 4+.) But you seem pretty sure that there are no other countries, so I guess that's it... BTW, did you come across any other cheats of any kind for Soccer Kid on Jaguar? Zool 2 has a cheat to get 99 lives. That kind of thing would help with this game, which is at least just as hard!
  8. I guess you are saying that the two codes posted by DoctorClu are the ones for Italy and Russia, is that right? Thanks for "cheating" to get us the passwords for Japan and USA! As for Carl, it seems that the one who posted the above YouTube video already asked him for the codes and Carl did not respond. I do not know why. So, for the record: we now have access to England (where you start), Italy, Russia, Japan, and USA. How many more countries are there that have codes for them? The game is described as having 20+ levels, but that obviously includes multiple stages within each country.
  9. I can't comment on the game mentioned above for the XL/XE. But I can confirm that Video 61 sometimes has limited quantities of items that are not on the list. You just need to ask to find out. BTW, just three more days for the sale: it ends on Dec. 31!
  10. Gunstar, I am not getting this: I have made the claim (in defense of the Jaguar!) that you can simply turn the 68K off after the system is booted, thereby getting maximum performance out of the Jaguar by utilizing the powerful RISC processors. After writing that this is precisely what was done by the programmers of Battlesphere, I was told that that is nothing but a myth that the Jaguar community perpetuates. In reality, wrote that poster, not one single Jaguar game in existence turned the 68K off after the Jaguar is booted. Rather, every single game, including those that "look 64-bit" (very open-ended, I know) really rely on thw 68K for carrying out basic performance. So, can you please clarify the degree to which the 68K can really be written out of the picture. Your above comment makes it seem like this was, and is, done regularly.
  11. There are still 8 days left for this sale. This is an opportunity not to be missed. I realize that some people may click on the Atari Sales website and see (under ordering information) only a mailing address and phone number. What if I don't have time to call? you might ask. What if it's Christmas day and it's just plain rude to call then? Well, here is the email address that allows you to request an order directly by email. My experience has been to receive a reply very soon after sending my emails: video61@tcq.net
  12. Same here! Just a reminder: there are still 3 weeks left to this sale (it expires on Dec. 31, 2013), so don't hesitate. You will not find a better sale from any Atari vendor, any time, any place. Plus, you will get the best customer service possible. That's what keeps me coming back!
  13. Yeah, I'm a really big fan of Video 61 too. Definitely my favorite Atari store, by far. The manager, Lance, treats each customer with great respect and lots of patience. The orders are always packaged VERY well, in thick cardboard boxes, so no worries. I forgot to add that they arent't particular about a few pennies. If you buy something that costs $49.95, you will get TWO free games from the list despite being 5 cents short of the "one game for every $25 spent." This is unlike, say Amazon.com, which offers free shipping on orders $35 and over, but if you spend $34.99, you will NOT be eligible for free shipping. (By contrast, if you spend $39.95 at Video 61, you'll get free shipping since it's treated like your order is $40 or over.) I cannot recommend Video 61 highly enough.
  14. Video 61 & Atari Sales (www.atarisales.com) has started its 2013 holiday sale! For every $25 spent, you get a free game from the list provided here: http://members.tcq.net/video61/holiday2013.html That includes games from most Atari systems, including 2600, 7800, and Lynx (though not 5200 or Jaguar). You also get FREE SHIPPING for any order that is $40 or more. The customer service is the best you'll get anywhere. It's an all-around great deal. The sale expires on Dec. 31, 2013. (No, I do not work for Video 61. I am just a loyal customer.)
  15. Alright guys, laught it up, will you Bottom line: I won't make him PLAY the system(s), but they will be his. I prefer that over selling it on ebay...
