  1. It has been almost 6 years now, and I am working once again on my windows version music studio. I don't even know if anybody even cares anymore. I really loved this program on my Atari ST. It may be silly to do this, but I am having fun. Besides getting rid of bugs, I am making an MDI version. And it will be a bit more colorful. Still looking for more song files. I probably have them all by now, but still looking.
  2. Latest photo on the project to make a Music Studio Clone for Windows.
  3. Show you the progress to date on my Windows Music Studio Player:
  4. I am slowly getting a Windows Music Studio Player going. Now that I have a working copy, although, I haven't tried Steem since I upgraded to Windows 10, it sure makes things easier.
  5. Here is the link to the RAW png files for the music studio 88 manual. http://www.noniandjim.com/Jim/MusicStudio/ManualMusicStudio88Raw.zip
  6. Hold Everyting Folks. I have just located my Music Studio 88 manual. It is a little late for me, but I will scan this tomorrow and post it. I am very happy.
  7. I am still looking form my 88 manual. However, in that process, I archived all of my old ST floppies, and found this little gem. Dates back to 1987, written by somebody who did a pretty good job of reverse engineering the .SGN format. MSFRMT12.txt
  8. Well, I have found an Image for Music Studio 88. And it works in Steem. The only problem I have is that I don't remember how to use the advanced features. Did a search on the web for a manual, but came up empty. Does anybody have this manual? I think I have one around here someplace, but not sure where it may have gotten off to.
  9. Here is a document of all I know of the music studio format. MusicStudioSongFileFormat.pdf
  10. Does any body have a copy of Music Studio that is actually operating? I need a .sng file made that has nested repeats. I do believe I have pretty much got a player written for windows, but so far I am not finding any songs I have that use repeats.
  11. Does anybody have screen shots of the various views in Music Studio 88?
  12. I think I have almost figured most of it out. Trouble is, it has been many years since I have seen Music Studio or Music Studio 88. In the file format, there seems to be four 16 bit words at the start of the song data. This is at file offset 0x200. I am pretty sure that these are supposed to be track enables. But what I don't remember, is why are there four sets of them?
  13. I just updated my webpage. I added the following zip file: http://www.noniandjim.com/Jim/MusicStudio/MusicStudioUtils.zip I just downloaded and tested the archive, and the test came out OK. Let me know if there are any other problems. I do not actually have the format for the Music Studio file format. What you will find in the C and h files is what I have managed to reverse engineer.
  14. http://www.noniandjim.com/Jim/MusicStudio/MusicStudio.html This is all I have. By coincidence, I was working on the functions tonight to parse Music Studio Files. -Jim
  15. Ultimate goal is to put the whole thing into an FPGA.
