  1. I still have the console, it's been relisted, go have a look! eBay Auction -- Item Number: 190573507780
  2. Auction will be ending in just under a days time. Still no bids!
  3. Hello everyone, Here is the listing for my s-video modified PAL 7800 if anyone is interested. eBay Auction -- Item Number: 190565773586 Cheers, Neil.
  4. Still for sale everyone. One more bump and then it's off to ebay.
  5. Would anybody like to take and s-video modded PAL 7800 off my hands?

  6. Here's some pictures of the systems external appearance and of it running. Please bare in mind that I couldn't get very good pictures of the screen, the picture in real life is much better.
  7. Hi guys, I'm selling a PAL 7800 that I've modified with composite and s-video. The systems RF modulator was broken when I purchased the system faulty, but now is putting out a top s-video signal - I have placed the s-video socket where the RF used to be. For sound the system uses the regular "dual mono" setup. The system is in very good condition externally, the protective plastic is still on the metal strip. I am looking for £40 plus postage (depending on where you are). I can provide a UK power supply and some other accessories you might need at extra cost. I'll get some pics up soon Cheers, Neil.
  8. Cheers mimo. Do you know if there is any way to mod the controller with just an internal mod?
  9. Spot on BrianC. Now I'm off to find a guide to mod a Genesis controller for 2 button firing. If anyone knows of a link to one, I'd really appreciate it.
  10. Hello everyone, I'm trying to use my megadrive controller with my 7800. I'm not sure if it requires modding - I think that's only for the 2 firing buttons to work independently - but my controller seems to be permanently firing. For example when I start Asteroids, I don't get the title screen because the button is firing, starting the game, and then it's just permanent warping, rendering the game unplayable. I've had a go at switching the player difficulty switches but that doesn't make a difference. What's going on guys? Cheers
  11. Ok guys. I finally figured out a fix for my issue, I thought I'd share so anyone possibly having the same problem could try it. I basically swapped the 750ohm resistor next to the diode on the OPs circuit for a 10k trim pot, like in saundbys mod. Using this allows you to adjust the sync in until the flickering mess disappears.
  12. Wooo! I have some success finally! I decided to dismantle the mod I have been doing above and instead I tried the saundby mod. Which seems to working pretty well. I just have to make some slight adjustments. At the moment the colour seems a bit washed out. I'm not sure if this is something to do with the brightness or with the chroma. In general, most of the colour looks a bit "whiter" than it should be. Did use a 100nF ceramic cap instead of a 1uF tantalum on the chroma line. Would this be the cause? Any suggestions on where to change the circuit below would be much appreciated.
  13. My 7800 is gonna get booted across the street if I can't figure out this damn mod!

  14. Ok, I've just tried the same mod on my other 7800 and I am still getting the same results, so it must be something to do with the mod circuit. This is really starting to kick ma brain in the face!
