  1. Hey AAers, I'm putting my Fun With Numbers box w/ Basic Math cart + manual up for auction (eBay Auction -- Item Number: 200490108902). If you want better pictures/scans of everything (especially the front cover), they can be located in this AA thread topic. Probably the only other item of note is my picture cartridge variant of G.I. Joe Cobra Strike w/box and manual (eBay Auction -- Item Number: 200490108992). I have a about 50 other items that consist of Atari and some common NES games up for auction as well. Auctions end Wednesday evening. If you win several of my items, request an invoice and give me your AtariAge username. I'll hook you up with some cheaper shipping, and make sure to pack your items extra securely. (P.S. ignore the overpriced Atari junk bundle. I know it isn't seriously worth that much, but I like abusing eBay's freebie week)
  2. Wow. eBay needs to recognize that their profit margin is affected by both the buyer and seller. Screw sellers, and they won't sell. It's tough to find that happy median. Did you try and send eBay/PayPal before and after pics? Like, pictures of the items you sold him versus the ones you got returned? If they were damaged during shipping to him, UPS would've (1) recorded said damage and (2) ponied up costs because I think all items are insured when shipped, correct? Anyways, that is a plain tragedy. Pirated DVDs are a big issue. That's why I like using trading services like Goozex. If someone sends a pirate to you, give them a negative feedback and ship the item to Goozex. You get all your "points" (money) back and that user is significantly impacted, if not banned. You can always notify the FBI as well. I've done that twice now, and it makes for some great lulz when you see the seller disappear from eBay and a letter following up on your charges. I have several types of mailing scales (one 0.01lbs to 3lbs, one 0lbs to 10lbs, one 0lbs to 30lbs, and one 0lbs to 300lbs), so if I ever get a returned item, before opening the box I would weigh it. Empty boxes are very very light. If what I'm expecting weighs a solid 20 lbs and it doesn't even budge my 0-300 scale, then I'm grabbing a video camera while I open the box. It's a bit paranoia, but I also video tape myself packing the items. Clips get deleted as the positive feedback comes in. To date I haven't needed to use them since most of my winners probably come from the boards I advertise on (and are therefore collectors who understand how to do good business), but they're there just in case.
  3. Yes, but you fail to see that it's never been used, and so therefore it must still work.
  4. Avatar sucked, esdpecially in 3D.

  6. A new game from the '80s? Anyone else confused by this statement?
  7. I know that the two games are equivalent in gameplay but different in title, and that they share the same picture label. But as far as being packaged, was it often the case that a 61 basic math cart and basic math manual would end up in a fun with numbers box? Or is it just possible that someone has switched the cart and manual with the box on me? Does the fact that the manual is in English and French (so, possibly from Canada) affect these possibilities? I have attached scans of everything below (I see the database is missing the box for fun with numbers?). I want to know because I'm slightly confused about the whole variants in Atari thing.
  8. I agree. Would it be possible to make the canvas size of the image a bit bigger to put some sort of AtariAge seal? Might be quite a bit of a hassle now, and of course people will just photoshop it away, So nevermind!
  9. I updated the eCrater store with more pictures and scans of the various items. If you see items there that you want but think I'm charging too much, PM me an offer. Also, if you buy multiple items, I'll refund you a portion of the shipping because I think eCrater is still a bit screwy with their shipping system (refund will be preferably a paypal gift, money order if you lack paypal). Also, my store accepts either PayPal or Google checkout for transactions.
  10. Another potential option is eCrater. It isn't as user friendly as GG, eBay, or Amazon, but it does feed your inventory into Google (example; look at the "source" some will say eCRATER - {username}). Unlike Amazon, you can have pictures (10, for free) and a significant description. But no HTML in the description like eBay and GG. You'll also have to become an expert in shipping and handling fees, but since you're an experienced eBayer that has probably already been acquired for you (for me, not so much yet). The major benefit to eCrater is that there are no fees for their service; you only have to worry about PayPal and Google Checkout fees. But like Amazon, you probably won't sell anything for a long while. I haven't sold anything yet from my store, but I'm willing to bet that it's due to my prices (and shipping costs). Still haven't figured that out yet ... Edit: You can also customize your storefront and create custom categories for your store. Click on the second link in my signature for my storefront.
  11. Oh noes ... the paddle is missing a noob! The cart looks like an Atari VCS cart ... but who knows?

  13. Yea, this looks awesome. But everyone wants to know where you're located.
  14. I want that $10 E.T., and it better not look like it was pooped from a rhino.
  15. Hey ... I found a cart hidden in one of the recent NES lots I won off the eBay. Fircken sweet. I hope I still have some time to play through it on the console.
