  1. Was there ever a port of the Bards tale series on the A8?
  2. Thank you! I just ordered a couple of pairs.
  3. I have done a few searches and gone through posts hoping to find a source, but either my search-fu skills stink or I just have bad luck. I have a number of Colecovision controllers that are in need of some TLC, and many of these either have damaged silver discs, or they are simply missing. Is there a source of reproduction discs out there? or what are some other options people have done? I've seen the conversions that Yurkie has done (beautiful btw) but i am looking to restore these to stock if possible.
  4. If you do end up making a game for this, I think it would be cool to also keep the basic controls game that you have done already. It would be fun just to use to control R.O.B. , maybe even use it to have him beat up on a NES console a little! One other option, is instead of using two controllers would be to use a Star Raiders controller with an overlay for various movements. I don't know how much more complicated that would make the coding of a game, but it could be a nice touch to make two underutilized game accessories be used in one game. If you do make this, I may have to modify a R.O.B. to have a bit more wood design incorporated into his body!
  5. I recently acquired a 192 in 1 clone console from Argentina. It is labeled TV Game and essentially the same model (with different number of built in games) that was pictured by Eduardo Torrero in the hardware section. ( http://www.atariage....soles/32in1.jpg ) I did not however receive the AC adapter for this unit, and was hoping someone would know if the standard Atari AC adapter for US models would also work for these models? It appears to be based off of the Atari Jr line, at least at a cosmetic level. So I am 'assuming' that it works off of 9v like the US models? I hope to post pictures soon of this unit as well as some pictures of its main PCB.
  6. I've picked up around 10 Atari systems in the past year, some work fine, some need a little cleaning or repair. However of the 10 Atari's, 3 of them have been the 4 switch vader, and all 3 of them have worked perfectly. I wouldn't go as far as to say that they are a more dependable model, but so far I've had good luck with them.
  7. I have almost the same setup. I have a tab for each platform, with mostly the same columns that you have. While I don't rate them 1-10 I just write little comments about the game. I will need to re-think things if I eventually get a harmony cart or start playing on an emulator.
  8. I think my favorite cartridge design, has to be the Activision carts. Label issues aside, that small ridge on them really helps them stack perfectly and look great in my collection. Otherwise I think there are a lot of great cartridge designs, however it seems the more exotic the cartridge design, the more it strays away from usability in both stacking and identification with the loss of end labels. One interesting cartridge design that I don't recall being mentioned in the thread, were the games for the Microvision. While un-boxed they also had the same shortcomings as other systems (stack-ability and end labels) they essentially transformed the face of the system while they were being used.
