  1. Thank you for the speedy reply. I have all of my games in my bedroom, and unfortunately, I don't have a DVD player or VCR in there. I use my PS3 to play Blu-Rays and DVD's. My living room I have a Blu-Ray player, but I'd prefer if my Atari stayed with my whole setup in the bedroom since said boyfriend HOGS the living room with his Xbox, haha. Thank you so much for the idea though. I'll head over to the Intro section!
  2. Welcome to the site! Good luck with things here and hope you'll find the people kind and helpfull.

  3. I just purchased two Atari 2600 systems. One I believe is an Atari VCS CX2600(unsure if it's "Sunnydale") and the other Atari VCS CX2600A. I got them at a yard sale today since I now have the ability to expand my gaming collection. (To add to it... I have TurboGrafx 16, NES, multiple SNES's, multiple Sega Genesis's, N64, PSX, Dreamcast, Gamecube, PS2, PS3, handheld consoles... and Sega Saturn and Sega CD... the Wii I barely use and the Xbox 360 is my boyfriend's). My main problem is I have no idea if these systems work since both only came with ONE power cord. The guy selling them didn't even know he had two systems complete with the wooden case thing. One system came with two joysticks and two paddles, the other came with two joysticks and four paddles. Both came with multiple games. The one power cord was plugged into both systems and neither one turned on. That means either the power cord is shot, or the systems are shot. Is it true I can use a generic power cord from the Sega Genesis or NES to power this system as well? My other question is... how can I plug the system into my TV without using the cable wire? I have a multi-system selector for all of my systems and currently the NES is using the cable wire on one TV and the TurboGrafx 16 is on another (since I also can't figure it out for these systems). I saw some things on Ebay, but I have no idea if they are legit or what. So here I am, hoping to fins some expert advice and guidance from you all. To throw this out there... I'm a video game nerd, preferring mostly 80's and 90's gaming systems... and I have NO electronic/technicial skill as far as taking a system apart to repair or clean it up. Both of the Atari's I bought are pretty dusty, but seem to be in great overall condition. I saw some videos on YouTube about opening up the systems and replacing the RF cord with a new AV one, but it worries me to do so since I'm not tool-savvy. Thank you in advance for your patience, help, and guidance. I also apologize if I posted this in the wrong section.
