  1. Played a short time on my PAL 1088xel, u1mb, vbxe, ossc to lcd tv. Version 1.08 seemed to work and play fine. 1.07 crashed at game play every time. No monitor rolling going on.
  2. Ah, you're the one who made the case? It was my question on the discord. I've printed it allready. Thanks!
  3. Just you need to have controllers that have been covered allready. Or ask Riq nicely to make the one you have compatible. I asked about the modern Atari VCS controller and he fixed it right up. My older xbox controllers didn't work, but new one does.
  4. Must have said it on the other thread. Unijoysticle works for me. https://www.tindie.com/stores/riq/
  5. Well the R core no longer seems to be coming back. But sometimes on a power cycle the ntsc color goes back to pal. If I use the working fc.com file to reflash the core, color stays pal. But if I reflash with dcfg.com, ntsc color comes right back. I'll check that link out after work. I forget, is there a battery on the vbxe board that could be dead/dying? Yes, 1088xld firmware/plugins are installed.
  6. So I just found an older version of fc.com on my hd. Tried it and it showed all 4 slots populated and it seems to flash the vbxe fine. So something wrong with that other fc.com file. I went ahead and deleted the wrong cores, in case it was somehow switching to them.
  7. I have an older vbxe.. still version 2.1 though. I have it in my 1088xld. I noticed on the u1mb information page that it showed the core being 1.26r. Which is a rambo core and since I have a different memory upgrade should be a version A. So I decided to flash the core. If I try to use FC.Com with a 2.1 core version it says i'm using the wrong core. If I pick a version 1 core it flashes, then has an error during verification. FC.COM says all 4 banks are empty. Now if I use DCFG.COM, and pick a version 1 core it tells me that it's the wrong version. But a version 2 core seems to flash fine. So I flashed the vbxe with the new NTSC version 2 core. Color changes and everything looks awesome. U1mb info page now says version 1.26, no R. And some weird color glitches i've had for years went away(memory conflict perhaps?). Alls well right? Well today I fire up the 1088 and the color is back to Pal. Info page again says 1.26R. Like it's reverted back again. Not sure if i'm doing something wrong, or if this vbxe has issues. It has had a hard life, been in 3 different atari's.. several bodges on the outputs now, but does seem to work otherwise. Something non related that I noticed on the u1mb info page as well. On the settings page stereo pokey shows enabled. But on the info page it says "not present". Stereo seems to work fine though.
  8. I had one game better but reset the machine before taking a pic.
  9. Got my old vbxe working in my 1088xld ntsc. Game looks great! Wish my trackball worked better. Need to see if I can find my ps2 mouse, or perhaps try my wireless mouse with the unijoystickle.
  10. Another bluetooth dongle that works is the Unijoysticle. I've been using it with an xbox one controller and even with the Atari VCS controllers. Neat thing is you can use one xbox controller as 2 joysticks.. so that playing Robotron is easy. There's a list of what wireless controllers will work with it. https://github.com/ricardoquesada/unijoysticle2/blob/main/docs/user_guide.md
  11. Mine is pal as well. Though I've got a slightly beat up vbxe I could install in my xld.. This might be the incentive to get that done.
  12. To me, building them was the fun part. But to do it as a service.. you'd be right back there with TBA on price.
  13. At first thought maybe glue it over the 1050.. but don't think that would look right. So I guess I'm out. Thanks anyway!
