  1. Never too late lol Who ever posted the mod in that first link you posted (ataritard), How did you BEND the 72 after cutting it up without messing up the pins? I tried that approach also but by bending (which was tough because of the double rowed pins) but they began to pull inside, games would not make proper contact. Whoever did this mod, please email me directly (montebdabing@aol.com) Thanks Ataritard for the link
  2. Hey bombidragon... what is that PIN connector link you posted? your saying that may work to load games vertically (top loading)? if so, what do you suggest the procedure is? thanks man
  3. It is mostly a "just to do it" / "make it work" reason, but a good point is that i can use the RCA. The NES-101 didnt have that and I do not want to mod one of those. Thanks for the welcome, looking foward to seeing what all you other gamers chit chat about.
  4. I apologize if i posted this in the wrong section. Read a post from long ago talking about this mod, but it wasnt much help. NEW FRESH ideas welcome
  5. NES frony loader INTO a top loader mod- Aside from hacking up a 72 pin connector & soldering top 36 /bottom 36 to motherboard card slot... Anyone SUCCESFULLY do this modification? I have tried the soldering-huge mess, tought to make them not touch, not too secure, can't replace PIN in future without doing it all over again. Because you cannot just cut the plastic & bend the 72 into a 90 degree angle due to the 2 seperate rows of pins, I have tried to pull out the pins that form the "U" on the back (just one half of them) of the 72 connector, cut away plastic, bend to a 90 degree angle, then reinsert the pins-does not sit correctly & a game would push them back out the back in no time at all. I have read a post about using 2 floppy drive cables side by side. But using an old Amiga floppy cable would be female with another female. Has anyone succesfully done this WITHOUT soldering. Looking for a plug n play setup to make the NES-001 a toploader. ANY HELP, PICTURES, PROCEDURES would be greatly appreciated!! I know I just signed up here, but it seems some of you guys could help. Thanks.
