  1. Actually the Charles that started this thread is a great guy, I've known him in person for years and he is one of our Militaries Finest. He normally goes by "Charlesaway" which I have done everything but punch him in the face to try to tell him he needs to change his screen name here to so there is no confusion between the 2 people on this board known as Atari Charles. Hell the Community knows him better as "Charlesaway" anyhow. HEY CHARLES CHANGE YOUR FREAKIN' SCREEN NAME!! Yeah, that's totally my fault. Years ago, I created a forum account here under charlesaway. I guess, I could contact the admins and see if there was a way to recover my nick; I'd much rather be using my standard one anyhow. What makes the matter even funnier is that, until July of this year, I also lived in Canada, like Atari Charles, albeit in Ontario instead of BC. Funny thing though, apparently I've been around longer (at least according to the joined date) on atariage than Atari Charles. Weird.
  2. Loose. I'll attach a pic with the spiffy file attach option ( which I forgot atariage has )
  3. Hi all, I have a 1982 International Demo cartridges (INT'L DEMO) for Intellivision. Taking offers, pics on request. Cheers
  4. I AV modded my 2600 months ago, and before I had a chance to use it, we moved. Now I just hooked it up tonight, but the screen just scrolls top to bottom, like the v-hold on the tv is off. Any way to adjust v-hold on the Atari, or any other suggestions I can try? I believe I ended up using ben heck's atari 2600 av mod. It's a 4-switch vader.
  5. Found one of those at a local used game store today... minus the power supply and the rotating joystick controllers. They wanted $40 as-is... I passed, but partly because I was already buying $100 worth of Vectrex games. Hm, how rare on the above scale would the Coleco Gemini console rate? (The standalone one, not the 2600 adaptor for the Colecovision) IN Canada, I'd rate it a 1 or at most a 2. I imagine they are slightly rarer in the US, but even so probably no more than a 3. What about that record company mail away version of the Gemini? I bet that's up there, in the 6 to 8 range.
  6. I wish everyone felt that way; I would have sold it by now.
  7. Hi all, My wife and I are moving this summer, and I've been trying to make some space by getting rid of my duplicates pile. 8. I use www.videogamecollectors.com/gallery/charlesaway to display my whole collection, though there are specific pictures of the loose atari carts in one of the sub galleries.
  9. I received mine too, several weeks ago. #31. Sadly, I haven't even had a chance to play it yet.
  10. I used those green dots at the last few swap meets I've gone to to signify different price levels. I really like them because they don't permanently stick to paper labels or the plastic casing.
  11. Yea, I think you've used them as excelsior (packing material) in packages you've sent to me before. Combat and also berzerk, pole position II (7800) and one or two others... just to fill the box out.
  12. If the plastic moulding along the sides is around 1/4 inch, it's probably a heavy. if it's really narrow, like a little more than 1/16th an inch, it's not.
  13. He's using custom PCB's for the controller/battery portion of the system. He's still using actual atari 2600 components for the actual system. He says somewhere on his page that it's because he doesen't want the systems to be just another clone, and it adds to the novelty and appeal of the portables. Personally, I'd be happy if it used a clone.
  14. I'm glad someone found the boxes. I always considered them part of my Zellers collection anyhow. Only need 2 more to complete it. (loose anyhow)
