  1. maybe adding some RAM on the cart should be sufficient.
  2. Before you try to put everything together at once, IMO first you should contentrate on one aspect (e.g. programming or production). If you can offer cart, box, manual etc. productions at reasonable prices you will find lots of people who will use your service. And then you get in contact with programmers, designers etc. automatically. But before you start, have a look around what is currently existing. There are lots of homebrew programmers (e.g. click on my sig ), and various people offering cart production service (incl. AA). good. Maybe I can do my own games, and ask somebody to put it on a cart. I intend to start my Colecovision programming as soon as possible, and after try programming to other consoles. If I get there, it will be amazing, have a game written by me
  3. thank you all for the answers! I talked with some people here, and they loved the idea. But the main problem in Brazil is find programmmers to these consoles. I know there are people here with talent and very imaginative, but the problem is put them together to open a company. If you have some ideas, please write them, I would like to know!
  4. oh, good! Maybe I can do something like this, here in Brazil!
  5. Hi everyone! What if somebody open a company that produces new games to old consoles like 2600, NES, Colecovision, etc.? Would it work out fine or not? Would it be easy to find programmers? Would people buy these games? What do you think about this "crazy" idea?
  6. hmmm... I think I will open a company to produce some games to vintage consoles.
  7. what if we send these questions to Atari? Maybe they can consider them and add a slot cart and change some aspects.
  8. For me it's a great news. Yes, tha major problem is the cartdrige slot, I think they should put it on the console, since lots of people already have carts. The other problem is: I don't know if it will be released in Brazil. Why don't Atari produce more games to vintage system, even in limited number? I know few people enjoy them today, but it's a potential market, isn't it?
  9. I've found a CV programming group. Check it out! http://br.groups.yahoo.com/group/colecoprogramming
  10. Today I've found a fantastic site, maybe you already know it. http://www.gooddealgames.com/articles/Cole...rogramming.html there are fantastic tools there, like a C compiler, Sprite editor, etc. But I really don't think that the documentation helps new developers, it teaches you how to use some functions, draw some characters, and I thinks that's the autor's purpose. So, does somebody know where I can find some help to newbies like me? Something like tutorials or foruns. I think programming in C to Colecovision is easy, but I need a initial help on it. Thanks a lot!
  12. Is there some kind of tutorial about 5200BAS for begginers? I couldn't find one. Thanks
  13. Thank you everyone! Your advice was really great! A asked about 2600 emulation because it has some good documentation and I love Atari systems. But as a novice I think it's better to code an easier system, like NES (that I love too). Thanks a lot, folks!
