  1. I can vouch for doubledown's controller quality. I've been using one regularly for a while now. 10/10.
  2. Try here: https://www.best-electronics-ca.com/
  3. This looks pretty neat. I may pre-order one if I can sell my copy of Dokapon Kingdom soon.
  4. RetroTINK 5x-Pro: overkill for a UAV-modded 2600? https://www.retrotink.com/product-page/5x-pro

In a world that thinks Nintendo invented videogames in 1985, I'm afraid folks like you and I will have to wait a while for the right person to take a chance on this before we learn how well this is suited to classic American consoles.

Past Retrotink products though have worked well for the most part with consoles like the Atari 2600, so I'm optimistic that the Retrotink 5X will be well suited for systems like the Atari 2600/5200/7800, Intellivision, etc.

I wonder how well the older consoles would work with any Retrotink product with an RF demodulator. Yes, one could use a VCR, but a demodulator is less bulky.

Yeah, I love my 2X-Pro, but I'm definitely not dropping the cash for this until someone tests it with a 2600 and only then if there's a noticeable upgrade. I think the 2X-Pro already makes the picture gorgeous on my modern TV, but we'll see!

  5. I'm usually not the type to fall in love w/ subscription services, but Game Pass Ultimate has won me over. Nice to play Xbox w/ my brother online every other weekend. Anyone else?

Yes - I went in skeptical and now I love it.

  6. Well, time to snap up a handful of classic JRPGs whose discs cost an absolute fortune.
  7. Bump for the 2600, which is still available. I'll leave it up here for a week or so before cross-posting on other forums.
  8. A 2600 Jr. from bennybingo with some games. I'm indebted to him for starting me down a path that has led to the beefed-up Atari setup I have today.
  9. So overwhelmed by work right now. Looking forward to some Golf With Your Friends on my Xbox and Chopper Command on my 2600 this weekend.

  10. I am trading it for the Gotham Central omnibus. I've seen the films and enjoyed them, but I haven't opened this in years and would like to see it go to a more serious Blu-ray collector. I'm more of a comics enthusiast at this point in my life. Just took some photos, finally (VEEERY busy at work). Updating the post right now.
  11. I used it some time ago with no issue but I'll hook it up again and take some pics just to confirm. I bought it already modded from eBay years ago. Just passing it along since I upgraded to another system.
  12. I ship CONUS only, sorry. Prices include shipping, though. Lemme know if you have any questions. AV-modded 2600, console only: $70 (super nice shape!) (Pics run through my RetroTINK 2x-Pro, the only way I can connect it to my TV) Zatoichi Blu-ray box set from Criterion: $125 (out of print!) PENDING ELSEWHERE
  13. One small bump with lowered prices before I cross-post to other storefronts.
