  1. Always liked the idea of having 'Best before' and the date of my death, on mine.
  2. The only other person in my family who likes retro-gaming is my 9yo daughter. She's taken quite an interest in my old machines but not to the extent she'd actually want to keep them. I'll leave everything to her as she does have a grasp of which bits are worth good money, so it'll raise some cash. I reckon the only thing she'll keep is the tabletop Astro Wars game as she knows what it means to me (it was a gift from my Dad in '81) and she loves it too. Regarding museums. I know someone who works as a curator at a museum of technology. He says they get so much stuff donated that they're really not interested unless it's super-rare. If the bequest comes with instructions (such as the collection is not to be split), they refuse it. If not, most of it ends up in storage or sold on.
  3. Yep, also Lemon has existed since the 90's and is a huge repository of Commodore information and opinion. Anyone searching for specific info on the C64 or Amiga will likely find Lemon in the first page of results, if not at the top. No new forum/site is going to achive that level of penetration (oo-err) anytime soon. It'd be a huge shame if it were gone for good as - like Atari - Commodore has a huge following with people still developing software and hardware. It needs a home. Ah, I'm sure it'll be back online soon
  4. Didn't realise how much time I spent on there until it disappeared.
  5. Is it really a Quickdisc+ ? Guess there may be different versions but the only ones I remember had the button on the face of the cart, not the end. Like this... Might just be a simple reset switch.
