  1. Nintendo only changed the name of the Ultra N64 to the Nintendo 64. Dolphin and Revolution were code names and were never intended as definitive names. I know, it's technical. I just hate when a "4" or a "5" appears alone on the following line in a text, so I insert a non-breaking space BEFORE the number, which requires to select the space and type Alt+255 (on Windows at least). The point is to avoid this for instance: blah blah blah blah PlayStation 4 blah blah blah blah and get this instead: blah blah blah blah PlayStation 4 blah blah blah blah And in languages like French, we also have the same problem with punctuation, since we type spaces before quotes, colons, exclamation points, etc.
  2. Well, we'll see. I may not even write about video games anymore anyway... And I don't think people will read my release digests years after, they're not exactly articles. Also, I must precise I still have to type "PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5" if the two systems don't share the same PlayStation Store page (the whole point is providing the links to the store page).
  3. Sure, but in my case, I type "PlayStation" instead of "PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5" which also require to type twice Alt+255 to add non-breaking spaces before the 4 and the 5. 🧐 And I'm pretty sure people can guess that the games I'm talking about are not for the original Xbox or PlayStation, even if they often look retro.
  4. Yes, Donut Dodo for instance. But they added save states for the Duke Nukem 1&2 remasters though.
  5. Isn't the PC Engine version better? I actually sold it, but it looks very close to the arcade version.
  6. You probably meant Xbox Series S, not Xbox One S, and that doesn't even make sense, since every game that works on Xbox Series S works on Series X as well, so you should just say Xbox Series. And in my articles, I also tend to just put "Xbox" since, except the recent AAA blockbusters I seldomly write about, games work on both Xbox One and Xbox Series. It's less true for PlayStation, so I either write PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, or just PlayStation when it works for both.
  7. It depends on the cores, though. But some Evercade games don't have save states either.
  8. Yes and probably, but not as well-known.
  9. Oh I hadn't heard about that, but if he's alone, he probably works from home these days (unless Atari still has an office in Paris).
  10. Apparently I'm the only one here who doesn't like Ninja Combat. That game's screenshots fascinated me as a kid, because I loved ninjas and there was that giant boss, but when I finally played it around 2000, what a disappointment. 😔 Beat 'em up is one of my favorite genres so I'm quite difficult mind you; I love games that offer a huge move set like Streets of Rage 2, Die Hard Arcade, Double Dragon Advance, and The Ninja Warriors Again. But I really don't like the ones that only offer 2-3 moves like Final Fight and King of Dragons for instance - even if they look beautiful. Ninja Combat is clearly among those unfortunately, and it's also very tedious; I remember dying all the time and keeping on adding credits... 😩 That being said, the NeoGeo has a few decent beat 'em ups like Robo Army, and I also like the Sengoku trilogy (but it's uneven). I'm not sure I tried Mutation Nation, so I won't say anything about it. I don't like Burning Fight, though, since it's like Final Fight but even worse. 😝 But since you apparently enjoyed Ninja Combat, have fun, I won't blame you or anything.
  11. They only bought a few licenses from MicroProse, but MicroProse actually returned a few years ago as a publisher, and I don't think Atari owns them (for now).
  12. I think it's only revived as a label, so nowhere. Captain Blood doesn't belong to Infogrames. Actually I even thought you were mistaken but Infogrames did indeed publish it in some countries. But it's from ERE Informatique. To me, on top of Alone in the Dark of course (which they don't own anymore), the best Infogrames-published games are Hostages and North & South. The latter got several remakes that all sucked unfortunately.
  13. Uh no, they were too hard for most people. And they weren't just hard. They were quite bad or at least very derivative. You have to understand Bruno Bonnell was just interested in making money; he hosted the French version of The Apprentice, you know.
  14. However, it seems to be met with a lock of mocking on the social networks, especially from France. Engagement doesn't necessarily mean validation, even though bad publicity can be positive. I agree it's unfair, but most people remember Infogrames as a bad publisher here, maybe not in the league of LJN but not that far off. I can name a lot of great games published by Infogrames, sure, even before the Atari era, but they don't necessarily own the licenses anymore though (Alone in the Dark in particular).
  15. This has already been posted (probably in the Master System topic).
