I think that the slight price dip (that I perceive) is due to the multi-game "Atari" systems you can now buy everywhere. The people I sold systems to where wanting to relive the gaming days of past. Now they can just run out to Wal-mart and buy a new Atari system with a bunch of games pre-loaded on it for like $20. In their eyes, they get a more reliable system with better picture for less money. They'll probably play with it for a week, get their fix, and then throw it in the top of a closet where most of the original 2600's ended up. I, like many around here, want to play the original system. I want to be able to slap whatever game I want in. So as long as there are people like me, there will always be some market for the original equipment.
