  1. Vigilante 8 is a definite contender a hidden gem in my experience
  2. The VCR works perfectly ( even with the ugliness of a bulky VCR under my tv ) thanks for all your help and suggestions guys I really appreciate it.
  3. I absolutely love the videos he posts sometimes he can be a bit childish but you can tell he's put work into it and he definitely knows a thing or two. Watching his videos ignighted my love of classic gaming, I already owned a mega drive/ genisis but after watching AVGN I bought loads of consoles and even some of the crap games he was frustrated with so I can appreciate the anger and nostalgia.
  4. Thanks for the map trebor I appreciate it ,I love this game I bought it online from eBay boxed with the manual for £14.99 buy it now price which I was very surprised to find at such a good price , its always a good idea to keep an eye out for these sort of things to get the best deal. I'm on the lookout for an Atari jaguar for a bargain price but I'm not rushing it just for the buzz of a good price
  5. I've played the nes version and the 7800 and I much prefer the 7800 version just for gameplay. My question is that the nes has the A B B A code but I can't find anywhere across the internet that the 7800 had a similar code, has anyone got any knowledge of the 7800 having a code ? Many thanks
  6. I'm gna try a VCR first thanks I have looked through my TV manual and it doesn't have an option for turning auto tuning on or off :/
  7. I have also found some info on RF modulators and I'm not too sure if that would solve my problem ?
  8. I seem to be having a problem with the picture on my TV with 7800 most importantly but also suffering the same problem with SMS SNES and others, I am using a flat screen TV and have tuned it in to the analogue channel and it works for a short while then jumps all around the screen like it became untuned and I wait about a minute and then its fine . this happens every 5 mins so I was wondering if there was a converter for the RF cable so I could plug it in through scart or RGB? I've found some things on the internet saying use it through a VHS which will convert the signal but I was wondering if it would be the same for a freeview/ digital set top box ? And has anyone else experienced this problem ?
  9. I have Atari 2600 Atari 7800 Nes x3 SNES Megadrive (genesis) Sega CD Game boy PlayStation (original) PlayStation 2 PlayStation 3 Ouya Had lot of exploring each and everyone over the years.
  10. I understand what you mean by regretting selling a certain console or game , about 4 months ago I thought I would sell some SNES games and started with legend of Zelda link to the past but then a month ago I had a real itch to play it , and what really got my goat is that the cart went for less than I expected :/ I think I will be patient and build up a 7800 and 2600 collection.
  11. I also have a R.O.B. for the nes which I picked up for about £7 almost complete , its quite unreliable like the nes consoles. ( what I mean by unreliable nes consoles is the I have to take the pin connectors out almost everytime to lightly bend the pins back into place )
  12. Thank you for your advice, I do love all my consoles but only for certain games , the problem being is it takes up a lot of room Having all these consoles and I will always love the classics, I have about 15 new games, 8 SNES games , 6 n64 games , 14 mega drive games 5 master system games and 8 Atari 2600 games , I have only just received my 7800 and haven't even started collecting for that system yet. I know the 7800 have a limited commercial list of games which i considered to be high quality of the majority, when compared to a nes which I own 3 of are all temprimental and knowing the huge selection of games the system has , it still has the majority being not quite my cup of tea. I think I will see how my collection progresses with the Atari systems and make a more informed decision. Colecovison has never interested me but then I have never played one or have any friends whom have owned the system but if I see one down a boot sale / garage sale I will consider it
  13. I am a long time vintage game lover and have just been welcomed into such an incredible group, I never knew that there was so many people that shared my passion for classic gaming. I'm 22 and have been collecting on and off since I was 16 , and I love the classic gaming scene , not just collecting but enjoying the greatest consoles ever released. I have always been interested in focusing on collecting one systems games collection , but have had trouble making up my mind. I am really enthusiastic to collect only Atari consoles and games but its been difficult with so many other great well known titles on other platforms. I own : an Atari 2600,7800, master system, mega drive, nes , SNES, n64, game gear and a playstation . with various games for each console. My question is , is it a good idea to reduce my console collection so I can focus on one platform (Atari!)
