It's a PAL unit, I'm not aware of any 1-chip PALs. It also has the shielding on the left, see the links to pics in the first post. But it's still amazing you have the 30-year-old receipt!!!

Thank you for the info and the world's largest photo Are all 5 of those 1-chip?!?!?!?!?!?!?!??!?!?!! Have you opened them to see what revision the board is? I suspect the first 2 are Rev 3, the rest Rev 4. If CIB means you have the box, does the box have a matching serial number, and color? Thanks!

Duuuuuuuuuuuuuude a rev 3!!!! And the lowest serial number on a 1-chip by far!!! Amazing find! Assuming that was the original sticker/case/serial number as sold, I have now documented 2ish unicorns from 1998 (this being the only confirmed one), and every other unicorn is from mid/late 1989
