If I'm clever (probably not) I could have 2 d pads and 2 sets of buttons, switchable - so you could use the left d pad and right hand buttons for a normal handed player and the right d pad and the left hand buttons for a reverse player. But I think this would be then difficult to use with a second cord for Robotron playing *see below, Grr!*
Another, more annoying point, is I was told today by my mate Bobbi Iddod, that Robotron doesn't work on a PAL system anyway!
Waah! - WHY? WHY? Atari, WHY?
Kind of negates the ppoint for me, but I am going to make the controller anyway, as I read that some people were working on hacking the US rom to play oon a PAL system.
I'm talking kinda like a Ben Heck thing - making a console smaller, portable, adding a built in screen etc?
Has anyone even made a nice looking raspberry pi emulation console yet from online plans or maybe designed their own 3d printed parts etc?
I am working on an aluminium case for a Famicom at the moment. I have built a prototype and the concept works. I'm going to make a new one when work allows it and fix some of the errors in the first build. A friend of mine will be getting the prototype case for a famicom of his. Waste not want not!
I've poked my nose in here in the past and liked it, but it's got sooooo much content!
Seeing as I'm getting into the 7800 a little bit (bloody Pie Factory's fault) and I do like to tinker with stuff and make / mod things it makes sense to have another go here. Loads of content on a stack of subjects!
As for 1942 - you know that '42 is the true hero. The first ones always are (except Street Fighter - it got to 3 Third strike before that hit it's peak)
