#3698600 Atari 5200 Launchbox Torrent

Posted by hardcorehubz on Fri Feb 17, 2017 2:49 PM

Hi all,

Don't know if anybody uses Launchbox frontend here but thought I would share this here if anybody does.

Torrent file available here - http://www.gamingale...ox V2.0.torrent

Here is a collection of many hours of work of collecting and creating metadata, images, manuals, and videos from various sources for the Atari 5200 system. Feel free to use and distribute our add this content to the Launchbox Database. Most of it was from other sources (THANK YOU TO ALL THOSE THAT HAVE CONTRIBUTED TO THE VARIOUS PROJECTS IN THE PAST THAT I WAS ABLE TO PULL STUFF FROM!) but the missing stuff I went ahead and made myself to get it as complete as I was able to get it. You should be able to just drop these in your Launchbox install and be good to. Public Domain Homebrew roms are provided with this torrent but NO commercial games. This is for your convenience.

Notes on this, I left the Atari 8-Bit homebrew ports out of this, as I didn't see the point with them being direct ports and they will never really have good art for this system. Better to just play and scrape them with an Atari 8-Bit emulator.

If you see missing content you can provide or have higher quality images, videos, etc. PLEASE LET ME KNOW! I will gladly use them on the next update.

Enjoy! Hopefully this will save people a lot of time. Figured If I am doing it for myself I might as well see if others would like using it.

Thanks,

Got the Sord M5 games I recently received up and scanned. 300dpi and 600dpi are available. Enjoy! Let me know if you'd like to purchase or trade for any as since I have them scanned and preserved I no longer need them.

Any chance you would be willing to scan those in? If not I understand but that would be a HUGE help and so greatly appreciated :) I have no clue why those scans were rejected. They look great!

Oh I saw was just curious if he had box scans or cartridge scans as well :) The manuals he provided are great quality I thought, very nice to finally have copies of them.

#3659123 Tomy Tutor/Pyuuta Collectors?

Hi,

Was wanting to help this guy out with scans for his awesome project -

http://www.classicpl...utorReadMe.html

He's basically gotten clean dumps of all the Tomy Tutor and Pyuuta games, and now is looking for high quality scans. Are there any collectors here who could maybe help?

Thanks,

#3647862 Atari 8-bit Software Preservation Initiative

Posted by hardcorehubz on Sat Dec 10, 2016 12:26 PM

Just wanted to say this is some great stuff, I have been doing something similar with FDS, PC98, and X68000 as I come across titles and it's nice to see a community working together on these preservation efforts and sharing on top of that. Time is very much running out to accomplish these goals. I unfortunately don't have any Atari 8bit stuff but just wanted to post to say thank you all so much for doing this. I have Kyroflux and can help dump if needed but it looks like you have plenty of volunteers. Keep it up! :)
