  1. I amplified the entire composite signal externally (USB powered, for now). Tomorrow I'll make a PCB and hook it up to the 5v/ground/composite within the console. This is the schematic I used, except I removed the 220ohm resistor (the signal was still too weak with it in place): http://cdn.instructables.com/FR6/S41E/FLROLSVU/FR6S41EFLROLSVU.LARGE.gif
  2. I made an external composite amplifier and the screen rolling is no more! I'll implement it inside my Atari tomorrow. Thanks freeweed.
  3. Yeah there's no amplifier so it's most likely that that's the issue. Could you direct me on the instructions for adding an amplifier? https://www.atariage.com/howto/composite.html EDIT: Never mind, I found some general purpose schematics. I'll add one in and report back on results.
  4. I just completed the composite AV mod for my 2600 JR and everything works fairly well. I had some issues at first with getting the signal to display on my CRT TV, but after disabling signal muting from the TV menu I could see each game. Now the only problem I'm facing with the console is the screen rolling. When I plug the console into my HD TV, it still doesn't detect a signal but displays anyway and fixes the rolling the best that it's able to. Games like Bezerk and Pacman work fine. Playing Asteroids is a nightmare because it isn't able to fix the rolling completely. If there's any middleman I can buy to fix the signal before it reaches the TV, or if there's something within the console I missed, I'd appreciate the help. Thanks. P.S I don't have the RF box anymore, but I can recall using this same console and TV in the past with coaxial.
