  1. The same guys who do Brooklyn GeekFest are doing one in Staten Island too - October 20, 2018
  2. Any suggestions on the going rate for the Donkey Kong? It's always tough when there are no comparisons available on eBay. The only one I found was mislabeled as Donkey Kong Junior in the post, which went for $26. It's from my personal collection, and wasn't necessarily looking to sell them. The guy offered $60, which seems very good for a Colecovision Adam game. But, not sure if it's truly what the game is worth. Granted... everyone who posted seems to point to that the game isn't really quite as rare as it seemed initially. hah
  3. Thanks for the quick replies and input. The main link I had found about it not being released (at least not right away) was on Nintendo Age. Really appreciate the help! http://nintendoage.com/forum/messageview.cfm?catid=29&threadid=46072
  4. I have found some debate in the forums about whether Donkey Kong was sold on cassette. I have Donkey Kong, not Donkey Kong Junior. I got it from a guy who used to be a manager at KB Toys, so it's possible that he received it before the decision was made to not sell it on cassette... if it never did come out in stores. There's a guy who mentioned he needed it for his collection, which prompted me to look into to try to find a fair value. I was caught off-guard that I don't see any available on eBay, and now that there's a debate that it was even sold in stores I'm not sure what to think! Have you guys seen the cassette version of Donkey Kong around? Is it really as rare as it seems to be?
  5. The next RetroGameCon date was announced - Saturday, November 14. This year's event will be held at the NY State Fair in the Center of Progress building. Which means bigger event with more vendors, more activities, and more tournaments. This year they're adding an Artist Alley, and still have a number of panels. Free parking is a plus for this year's event as well. Follow the updates at www.facebook.com/retrogamecon Or visit the website www.retrogamecon.com for more details.
  6. Last of the games I have. The loose games and 2 stragglers I missed in my original photos.
  7. Just by chance, I found a guy who used to work for Atari and when it went under he had boxes of the games... still factory sealed! I already had a few loose games, but now I have a bunch of factory sealed games. I'm only opening as I play them. As you can see, I have a few games on my backlog. He made me a great deal since I bought so many and got a few refurbished Lynx systems. Excuse the Nintendo holder for the Atari games, but they fit perfectly. The files are too large, so I'll reply with the last of the photos. Since I have so many games already, now I'm looking to just get a complete collection down the road.
  8. I recently got a paid of wireless Atari controllers. I've never seen these before, so I'm guessing they're obscure. They're pretty bulky, but are cool just the same. Just wonder what obscure Atari accessories you guys have.
  9. Anyone else have an issue with Pac-Man in the Ms. Pac-Man version of Genesis? We had a History of Pac-Man night, and wanted to do some 2 player options. Pac-Man was not always following the controls of the player. Or were delayed. Mainly when trying to go up. Luckily we had a laid-back group, so they didn't mind too much and it was mainly just for fun. It gave a bit of an advance to Ms. Pac-Man since the 1st person controls didn't seem to have any issues. It thought it was the controller, so I changed out the controller. But then it still happened, so I changed out for a different Genesis model. And... it still didn't help... Anyone else have this problem? Or do I somehow have multiple Genesis consoles or controllers having issues...?
  10. I connected with a guy who used to work for Atari and had a bunch of factory sealed Atari Lynx games from when they company went out of business. I bought one copy of everything he had left for my own collection, and put the rest on eBay to help subsidize the big purchase. Now the main game I'm still in search of for Lynx is Batman Returns. Feel free to check it out my auctions.
