  1. The emulator could be out of date. It's worth noting that they do still receive updates, see here http://wiibrew.org/wiki/FCE_Ultra_GX As @Moo says, you can just download the wads and stuff and stick them straight onto the SD card.
  2. I love emulation. I don't have the money or space to collect for 10 different systems. I understand why collectors don't like it, but ultimately, who's getting hurt here? I use a first gen Nintendo Wii for consoles and an R4i card for Gameboy/Color and also Turbografx 16/PCE on my Nintendo 2DS and I love both. PS, nice to see a post not slating emulation.
  3. I have an original model Wii and it's ran fine for the last year I've owned it. I did buy a Wii laser cleaner for it, which has been used twice. I back my games up and play them off a hard drive so the laser doesn't much use. I'm friendly with my local game shop and it's them I purchased my PS3 Slim from and I'm told the laser is still in great condition. I've had no issues with it at all, and it came from a care home too.
  4. I ended up going for the PS3. I got a great deal on 120GB Slim and some games. Ended up upgrading my television too and loving it.
  5. Look better or play better? An 8th gen machine just costs too much for me to justify, and I don't like the direction the consoles are going. I would get a Wii u but the price for used hardware and games is too much. I will probably go for the ps3 in a few weeks.
  6. Scrap that @Austin I would get a Wii U
  7. I voted the Wii, I love my Wii. There's some great games there. That said, if I have the option to play a GC version of a Wii game I will, purely because of the motion controls. Twilight Princess for example, I hated the controls on the Wii for it.
  8. I have zero interest in either of these consoles to be honest.
  9. I prefer consoles to PCs really, a pc of decent spec is well out of the realms I can afford. With regards to actual games and exclusives, I have no allegiance to any system and any games, apart from Nintendo's stuff, I'm really out of the loop for the past two generations. All I want is to be able to play Call of Duty whatever and maybe GTA V online with other people, thats all. Maybe some MMO if they still exist on these systems.
  10. I'm not the best to say whether it's long or not, I've put about two hours into, not gone online yet and haven't gotten too far into it. I have a feeling it's probably too deep a game for me with all the grinding and crafting. That said, I picked up Tri Force heroes recently and really enjoy the multi player puzzle solving adventuring.
  11. Holy shit, I could've been on to something!
  12. PC gets recommended a lot, but I can pick up a second hand 360 or ps3 for £60/70($100?) and I don't have to do anything to the hardware or os. But I've not looked too into PCs, so maybe they are cheaper than I thought? With regards to games, I only really have my eye on GTA V and a COD or two. I enjoy shorter RPGs, adventure action games, some fps/3rdps. At the minute I'm playing a lot of Black Ops/MW3, Monster Hunter 4 and Tri Force Heroes for 3ds.
