  1. Wow, thanks so much. I hope the programmable button build works. Would save my arse. Can Joy2Key run on boot? For example, can I configure it once and it will run on startup? I ask because I want to boot directly into emulationstation.
  2. Pretty self explanitory. I want to map Run/Stop, Space, Exit and ALT + J to the gamepad. I'm using Emulationstation in Win 7 and want to keep hands off the keyboard and avoid as much "windowing" as possible.
  3. Any update on the dpad mapping? F7 doesn't report the input on rpi2/retropie. I've tried numerous commands on the directional input in tje coolcv_mapping.txt and as soon as the emulator launches it deletes them. For example, up_1 key1073741906joy0_0,0,0,1 Or up_1 key1073741906joy0_h0up Or up_1 key1073741906joy0_0y+ Do not work The button mappings bind fine when done manually, however.
  4. Well I got the -p from the jzintv config file. I just. Copied and pasted it and edited it to point to coleco. I thought the -p was for the path to the romset
  5. That did it! What was the -p doing? (Linux noob) I'll pass the word along about your site. And will zend some monetary gratitude along to nano. This is a very good emulator.
  6. Yah, sorry Here's the entry I placed in the es_systems.cfg http://pastebin.com/Yip0zWER And here's the runcommand entry in emulators.cfg coolcv="/opt/retropie/emulators/coolcv/coolcv_pi -p /home/pi/RetroPie/BIOS -q %ROM%" default="coolcv_pi" Edit - I'm also using the romset from the colecovision rom project on this forum. I unzipped them and renamed them to have the .col extension.
  7. I'm having issues here. On Rpi2, I followed the instructions on the zip file. Created the rom directory. Dropped coolcv_pi in opt/retropie/emulators/coolcv Made the emulators.cfg file and dropped it in opt/retropie/configs/colecovision Placed BIOS in BIOS path (also in roms folder) Edited es_systems.cfg to point to the correct paths Set permissions and ran chmod +x on coolcv_pi When I launch a game it will load to the generic coleco bios screen no matter what rom it is.
  8. Dave, How did you get this configured in EmulationStation? I see documentation on how to add the cv theme but not how to configure it to point to the cv emulator when launching a rom
  9. Hi Dave, Like you, I am running Jessie 3.4 as well. I will try to run Cool CV now. Thanks!
  10. I had an issue building the sdl2 dependencies in Debian/Jessie base for an rpi2 Retropie build. I'm getting a "/usr/bin/dpkg error code (2)" during the following command sudo apt-get install build-essential libfreeimage-dev libopenal-dev libpango1.0-dev libsndfile-dev libudev-dev libasound2-dev libjpeg8-dev libtiff5-dev libwebp-dev automake The only information I get is"raspbian-bootloader contains empty filename" I've tried to find the offending package via sudo nano /var/lib/dpkg/status But to no avail. I think it's aborting the process during the installtion of the libtiff package Any ideas? Because I'm lost
  11. Hi, I am going to attempt to install this on Rpi2 (retropie). Has any ody succesfully added to EmulationStation? Also, exit hotkey is still mapped to (* + #)? Would be really cool to get this running in retropie/ES and maybe even a libretro port.
