  1. Thanks Osgeld! I think that did the trick. I pushed and played with those three buttons for a few minutes and brought the resistance during the closed state down to about 900 ohms. After connecting it back I am starting to see a response from different games. I mess with it some more but at least I am getting a response.
  2. I broke out my atari XE after not playing with it and found that the start, select, and option button were not working. The Power and start button seem to have no issues. Some games like Donkey Kong can be played because I can bypass these buttons. In taking the metal casing off, I found that the switches soldered to the motherboard are not functioning. I placed a meter to these switches and they seem to be effective as each are open when not depressed, but when depressed, ~ 1,800 ohms appear. It seems odd that all three went out at the same time. I cannot find any open/leaking capacitor nor any damage on the board that physically reveals an issue. Has anyone else had this kind of issue? Is there a module that controls the response for all three of these switches that I am missing. Thanks so much for any suggestions!
