  1. Just got my systems modded and everything was absolutely perfect. Yurkie's work was SUPER clean! I have pics of the system below. Also, those of you looking to use S-video with an NES . . . the results are amazing! I am running my NES with Monster Cable S-video to a Panasonic BT-H1390Y. The picture is fantastic. Everyone I have shown thinks it's RGB. I have a couple pics below, but it's hard to get CRT pics and even harder for them to do justice for how it looks in person (please ignore the room reflection). Thanks again to Yurkie! Highly recommended
  2. Definitely one of my next pick-ups. My place needs more Genesis love. I never had one as a kid, so I am super pumped to play a ton of stuff. I've emulated a ton of stuff, but I can't wait to play on the real hardware.
  3. Awesome. I greatly appreciate the info. I have that post on the different mobo revisions printed in color (thanks work lol), but I wasn't sure what the best version of the II was. Let the search begin! P.S. I'm super new on here and I really enjoy how nice and helpful everyone has been. Thanks again
  4. Yeah, I definitely can't complain. I got everything brand new in box for 55 shipped. One of the very few great deals for anything new and retro I've found on eBay. If you don't mind me asking, where did you find it?
  5. Congrats!! I still need to check mine. I snagged a model 2 from eBay new in the original box for super cheap. Original bags are still taped shut although the box is a bit beat. I put it in my closet since I got it. Waiting to get a new Sega CD 2 and but them out. I'm a little iffy on using the brand new controller. Might just snag a used one and keep the new one as back up. Fingers crossed as to which model 2 version it is.
  6. +1 for Super Metroid. That game just holds up so well. It never feels dated at all to me and the atmosphere of the game is so damn real. The music is so spot on. It feels like you are there. It's made so well it is unreal. Battletoads is my runner up. I love the level of challenge. It's a game that challenges you, but isn't ungodly unfair. The music and presention is so cool. To me it is the embodiment of what an amazing NES game is. Pure nostalgia every time I play it. I'm instantly a kid again excitedly dodging obstacles in the turbo tunnel all over again. I'm huge into fighting games and I have to give a huge nod to Street Fighter III: 3rd Strike and Super Street Fighter 2 Turbo. I know there are two crowds when it comes to these games. They like one and hate the other. But these games are just so amazing to play against someone. When you have two skillful players such amazing things can happen in 3s and the game has such depth that it made my friends that never played a fighting game get sucked in. So much to learn and practice. I still see things to this day I have never seen. I've been playing and watching this for 11 years. Super Turbo is the absolute pinnacle of old school fighting games. It's funny how many people gave up on SF2 by the time this came out. They missed out on arguably the best fighting game ever made. It's another title that instantly makes me feel like a kid again and to me that's the whole reason I love retro games.
  7. I actually had two friends that would play multiplayer with me on N64. It was hard to convince them especially with multiplayer games like GoldenEye and Turok 2 being so much fun. One thing we used to do all the time was to only attack each other in this one room. The bodies would stay on screen after you died. Body sprites would start to stack up on top of each other as we killed each other. It got bad enough where you were basically running through body sprites stacked on top of each other until another player appeared right in front of you. It was a lot of stupid fun. It was also cool to see their dead body glitch up to the top of the other bodies when they died. I wish I had the game still to make a video of this. Lol
  8. The N64 version has more of a blurriness, but isn't as choppy as the Saturn version. Out of those two I preferred the N64. Never got to play the PSX version. I remember listening to Beck Odelay and playing the N64 version lol. The N64 version . . . "where it's at"
