  1. Had a problem long ago with the guy. He sent a refurbished 7800 with something put together backwards or in the wrong place, something like that, and he wouldn't pay for shipping back to fix it. He said it was my responsibility to ship back, and that was how it was done. Guess I was too use to Amazon if something goes wrong and it's their fault. No hard feelings. I also bought a refurbished Heavy Sixer before that, and still have it nice and minty in his Atari taped up box. He does seem to have the best Atari stuff for sale.
  2. Seen them on ebay from time to time. Less than $50 if it's broken on the front like it looks in the picture.
  3. About 50,000 I believe. He got a few BILLION out of that one. Yes, America is a great place for the smart and lucky with great timing.
  4. That's why you use paypal WITH A CREDIT CARD. You went through your hoops with ebay/paypal. Now, you need to go through your credit card company. They will almost certainly side with you, as long as you return the item. Come on people, you have power. Better business bureau, sellers state attorney general's office, ebay's state attorney general's office, internet fraud department, the sellers mother, etc,.
  5. Irrelevant, means nothing. Get me my stuff, the way you described it, or give me a full refund. If you don't like that, don't sell on ebay.
  6. That's 100% false! I wish people would educate themselves before making false statements. The seller is obligated to get the item to you in the condition described. Insurance is for the seller, NOT THE BUYER. It's called buyer protection and item not as described. Always use paypal WITH A CREDIT CARD, NOT A BANK ACCOUNT to get double protection. If paypal somehow doesn't get you a 100% (including shipping to you) refund, your credit card bank will. The seller was completely at fault and didn't package the item properly to reach you. Even if it was double boxed and padded, you would still be able to get a full refund. You will be out the money to return the item to the seller, unless the seller refunds that.
  7. N-I-C-O-T-I-N-E addiction. Took me like 5 times to quit.
  8. My Sears Heavy Sixer I received for a Christmas present in 1977 came in bubblewrap.
  9. Armorall works great. Just wipe (buff) all excess completely off. I guess, not having your Atari in the direct sunlight helps. I armorall'd my Sears Heavy Sixer years ago, it's been as good as new ever since then with no ill-effects what so ever.
  10. I have to go with the Sears Heavy Sixer. It was my childhood Christmas present. In the early eighties, my parents took it in for repair, and it was replaced with a light sixer:( I still have the original box it came in, and got a near mint one a few years back. I remember wanting an Atari version back in the day because I thought they looked more cool. So, I got an Atari Heavy Sixer too. I use my 4 switch woody for everyday playing. I think 3 versions of the 2600 is enough for anyone.
  11. Try a regular pencil eraser. Have to go slow though. Maybe magic eraser as well. That thing is a miracle worker. It got many a scuff mark off my wall without being too harsh. If trying the magic eraser, keep it as dry as possible for the sticker of course.
  12. I suppose you wouldn't sell one now if you had it because you're so much better?
  13. Not me, this is the exact system I received for Christmas 1977ish.
  14. http://cgi.ebay.com/Atari-2600-Sears-Tele-...alenotsupported I don't have any money at the moment, or I'd probably bid a couple hundred. I already have a near mint condition Sears Heavy Sixer anyway, and an Atari Heavy sixer. But still, to enjoy Christmas of my past with this new item would have been nice. Wouldn't you just have to open it?
  15. Thanks for all the replies. I posted it on eBay with a $19.99 starting bid. I was thinking of putting a reserve of $100 on it before I asked my original question. Oh well, $20 is better than nada. Thanks again. This site rocks.
