Thanks Kris that is what I wanted to know. The floppy drive eject seems to have fixed itself. I guess inserting and removing a number of disks freed up the mechanism. James.

Hi in a fit of nostalgia I recently bought an Atari 520STE and it has a few problems I was hoping someone could help me with. The first is the spare bar doesn't feel right, it is flopping around. I think it is missing some parts. Can someone look at the photo and tell me what is missing. Also how does the metal clip attach to the space bar key? The second is the floppy doesn't slide out of the drive when the eject button is pressed. I have to grab it with my fingernails to pull it out. Aside from that I got it to run some games so its not all bad. Thanks James.
