Hi Community!
I started tp preserve my Atari 800 Floppy Disks with Kryoflux and an Epson SD-680L.
Due to the fact that this drive isnt able to read the flippy site I get myself a Panasonic JU-475 4A47 with a flippy mod.
Weaponed with that I preserved my disks. After I had finished the preserving I had about 20 disks with errors (using A8rawconv with Kryoflux images).
Most errors are on the backside of the floppies. Mainly CRC errors.
I grab out my 1050 and get me the SIO2PC from Atarimax (APE). When I try preserve the last 20 disks with that I had reduced it down to 10.
I had checked these *.atr images with Altirra 2.71
To expand my possabilities I get myself a SuperCard Pro to use the Espon drive to read the flippy side. But it seemed that this drive is producing more errors than the JU-475.
What is confusing me is the fact of the different results....When I am using the ProSystem software it tells me that everything is without errors.
I only had one disk where all 3 systems pointing to the same error.
I had different combinations of that....Kryo:no errors - APE:no errors - SCP: 2 errors .....and so on.
I sometimes check the images with disk tool of Altirra and it tells me the the file system is dameged but it works fine when I am running that image.
My question is: how can I be sure that the images arent faulty?
Best Regards,
Kubi
