  1. Thank you, Anthony. But this is a mess of my own creation. I should deal with it myself, and stop myself from falling into delusions that caused this in the first place.
  2. Hello... I have been trying to write this for a little while, but I have some bad news. After recent events impacting my life and months of self-evaluation I have come to the conclusion that I will not be able to create a Neo Geo podcast. I apologize for waiting so long to announce this, to be honest I have been afraid of what people's reactions will be. I know this is somewhat irrational. In recent months my mental health has declined significantly, and I spent last year trying to deal with tragic events with over ambitious projects and aims, all of which led to failure, or at least failure by my own standards, that have made me feel even worse. I feel it is best for this wonderful community and myself if I reduce my plans to just the Neo Geo Pocket and Neo Geo Pocket Colour, a system I feel I will be able to cover better. Thank you for your support in trying to get this podcast to work, and I am sorry that it has not amounted to anything so far. I hope I can still contribute to the Game by Game podcast and wider retro gaming communities. - Philip the Whovian
  3. Hi everyone, quick update. Here is the blog for the podcast, it will be inactive for a while but I assure you the podcast is still coming. https://neogeopod.blogspot.co.uk/
  4. Hello everyone, brief update. Here is the Neo Geo blog. https://neogeopod.blogspot.co.uk/
  5. Hello everyone, brief update. Here is the Neo Geo blog. https://neogeopod.blogspot.co.uk/
  6. I have five main categories of things I would not collect. 1. Games with nudity and excessive violence 2. Games that offend me, personally 3. Games over £1000 4. Games on cassette (to excess), and no Coleco Adam games 5. Large libraries for non Nintendo home consoles made after 2002 Number 4 is mainly because I know that cassette tapes will easily die on me, and I would be the person who forgets about the Adam's start up wiping ability. Then there are a couple of more minor categories. 1. Most pong clones (aside from Magnavox, Nintendo, Atari and Videomaster) 2. Some more obscure handhelds 3. The Amstrad GX4000 4. Edutainment
  7. I know this may sound weird, but these posts have brought me a significant amount of joy. Over here in Britain, it seems that in both the US and here that discussions about differences in political opinions have degenerated into shouting matches, and oversimplification. It has filled me with hope, that two adults can talk, not matter how briefly, in a civil manner about current affairs.
  8. I don't have much space around my TV, but I still managed to fit my Wii and Ps2 via Scart and an Xbox 360 via HDMI. My Videopac and pong console are nearby, just in case I feel like playing them.
  9. I bought it two days ago, I liked it but I have no idea where it could go and still make it interesting.
  10. Asteroids, although not on a 2600, instead on the Atari Anthology collection.
  11. I feel it shouldn't be this cheap. http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/MB-Electronics-Microvision-computer-game-system-Boxed-4-games-/272639408815?hash=item3f7a933aaf:g:q5EAAOSwpkFY74hp £25 seems low, can anyone see anything wrong with it?
  12. It wouldn't have been powerful enough to compete, and they had a bad experience of the market in the late 70s and early 80s.
  13. I have decided, to reduce the number of adaptors I need, to buy an NTSC tv for NTSC consoles. I have a question though, would I need to buy a transformer? What is the difference between US and UK voltage? Thank you for any help.
  14. Unlike many in this thread, I have no problems with Mario sound effects. But one song that annoys me is the game over theme from the original Legend of Zelda, it is the only piece in the game I don't like.
