Man I wish there were some mom and pop places around here all we have is gamestop and the flea market. If there is a mom and pop place gamestop puts them out of business real quick. If my company ever becomes extremely profitable I might invest in a game store.

Man I used to love funco land but the evil videogame overlords GAMESTOP bought them out. And of course their first action was to remove all the classic games from the store

An interesting note about gamestop. I used to work for ebgames and worked for gamesuck for about six months after they acquired ebgames. They are a terrible company to work for and shop at they mark up their used games 300% and they only order enough of new releases for pre-orders which is why they probably want to charge you $5 for shipping. The thing about a game store at least when I worked at ebgames is that you could go in there and find really old and/or rare games new in the wrapper. Once gamestop took over that stopped now all they have new is new releases. I just buy my games from amazon you can get them on street date if you pre-order them and they don't limit their inventory to new releases. ANYWAYS (takes deep breath) the whole reason I was writing this is to say that gamestop is in serious SERIOUS debt. I heard from someone I know who still works there (the only person who worked there when I did and is still there) that gamestop owes it stock holders like 22 million dollars and they have to have it paid back by 2011. I am not sure what will happen if they don't HOPEFULLY they will go out of business and pave the way for some mom and pop video game stores that carry rarities.

The thing about the bundles is that Nintendo sends the systems to the retail stores who sell the most add-ons ( I used to work at EBGames it was the same story every Christmas). So it's not really the retailer's fault Nintendo pressures them into selling add-ons and the easiest way for them to do that and get as many system's as possible is to force consumers to buy them The wal-mart's around here get Wii's in on Tuesday mornings but Best Buys get more than wal-marts because they sell a lot more add-ons (I am not sure when best buy gets them in). Funny thing about my wii was we bought it completely on accident. My boyfriend is a sales rep for several video game publishers and is in retail stores a lot letting up marketing. His sister wanted one so he bought one when he came across one. He called her to tell her and she had bought one at the exact same time in another store. Sense they are so hard to come buy we just decided to keep the one we have. And now everyone on this thread who wants one and can't find them hates me.

I am working on an e-commerce website for one of my classes, and I am selling old school systems so anyone who has good pictures or reviews of systems, games, and accessories i could really use them. this is what the site is going to look like i think, I have two different designs planned out but this is the one i like the best. I would be totally uo to hearing critiques on it as well
