  1. Considering I bought the console in March, I wouldn't consider the warranty to have expired. I opened a "request" on Analogue's website asking about patching in the voltage and got an initial "we do not offer customizations or modifications" response, along with a recommendation to get a SCART cable from retrogamingcables.co.uk. I wouldn't consider the console offering European SCART standard output as being a "customization", especially as they're selling the console with a universal power supply to use anywhere in the world, and when I ordered the console the fact I was able to get a locally-sourced cable (Retro Gaming Cables in the UK) that'd work with my equipment was a selling point. The fact the latest version of the console corrects this voltage issue again suggests that it isn't a "customization". Retro Gaming Cables aren't selling SCART cables for this console after the hassle they experienced with the voltage not being passed through the DB15 port (as is standard for European SCART), and Analogue themselves removed that company from their recommended cable seller list some months ago, so someone there knows very well what the situation is yet decided to fob me off with duff advice. To top it all, I got back from work tonight to check the progress of my query, and they've completely deleted it. It's not even in the "closed" dropdown section. I posted pretty much the same information as in this post and someone just plain deleted the query without replying. To say I'm very unhappy would be an understatement.
  2. This is a big thing for anyone in Europe who rely on voltage to come from that port. Do you know if that's something Analogue Nt will accept returns/repairs on for existing owners? I've owned my console a few months.
  3. Hi kevtris, sorry if this has been addressed elsewhere, but might there be a future firmware option (way down the line; I appreciate you're busy otherwise with other work) to align the HDMI framerate output of the Nt mini with the analog connection? I was playing my SNES via OSSC earlier and I think the framerate displayed was 60.08 and my flatscreen TV displayed it fine. It would be great for the option to mirror the digital and analogue outputs (which might potentially also open up being able to use both connections concurrently for playing and recording footage). I understand why it was decided to play it safe on the framerate over HDMI, but that's part of the reason for the jailbroken firmware right; for those wanting to push their consoles a little further
  4. My power supply is noisy too I've noticed. So the position on noisy adapters is that they'll replace them?
  5. kevtris - managed to try out Duck Hunt for the first time in decades yesterday and had a blast (pun intended); amazing work with the console. One platform I haven't seen mentioned in this thread so far has been Nintendo's Game & Watch; are there any plans for this as a core?
  6. So http://retrocables.es/tienda/index.php?id_product=55&controller=product&id_lang=1 should work as a SCART RGB solution for the Nt mini?
  7. That cable looks like it needs 9V; what does the USB port at the back of the Nt mini carry? 5V I'm guessing(?)
  8. Analogue recommend ONLY the Monoprice cables or a SCART one from Retro Gaming Cables (that's been out-of-stock forever). In order to identify and gain agreement on *if* my console has an issue with the red channel (as others have had), I needed to buy the recommended cables. Anything else, then I might get "well... you need to try the approved cables, so we can't help you until then" from Analogue support.
  9. I've the cables from Monoprice ordered and currently on their way to me. Are there any other users from the UK/Europe who've tested their Nt mini consoles over analog connections and experienced issues? I can't say if my Nt mini (2nd batch) has issues yet as I've only tested via HDMI so far (and has been excellent on that connection).
  10. Thanks once again @kevtris for your work. That Channel F is a really smart-looking console (shame the games don't look up to much!). I was going to ask about the numerical pad game support too (but see @cfillak has just done so).
  11. Will report back my experience with the Monoprice cables. I'm dying to try the Nt mini out on my BVM; it's been decades since I've played Duck Hunt. The Gameboy core is great, thank you once again for your work. Do you have any plans for allowing adjusting of the colour palette with GB games?
  12. That's what I'm thinking. Will know soon enough; ordered the Monoprice cables today (the full suite).
  13. Yes; the red not working (...and hello by the way, and thanks for all your fantastic work; it's hugely appreciated ). I'm intending to use the Nt mini with my 1080p screen AND my Sony BVM (via a SCART-to-BNC cable from Retro Gaming Cables that I use with a range of other old consoles), but as I mentioned, they're out-of-stock currently of their DB15-to-SCART cable. I don't want to have to import the Monoprice cables as the postage ends up something like 4-5 times the original price of the cables to send here to the UK, but will want to do something reasonably soon as if there's an issue with a batch of Nt mini's then I'd want to get mine repaired within warranty.
  14. Has anyone tested RGB on a Nt mini since the last restock? I received my unit last week and it's performed great over HDMI, but Retro Gaming Cables have been out-of-stock on their SCART cables for the past few weeks as far as I can tell and it'd be good to verify if my console has the analog fault. Postage of the various recommended Monoprice cables to the UK is extremely expensive, but I might have to spend the money it seems. I'm surprised the analog issue hasn't been picked up on by any professional reviews (or maybe it was a very small batch of the consoles that were affected?).
  15. Sell the NESRGB (seeing as you don't have a CRT) and save up for the NT Mini. Keep the Hi-Def NES as you'll then have one "authentic" system and one which can do a load more than any traditional mod on original hardware.
