  1. Im Moving to the UK from Australia so i decided to sell my Video game collection as it was going to no good use here at home. I broke it down by system and sold off my Inty and Sega and NES gear finally it was time for my 2600 stuff. I always promised myself i would catalogue and test it all one day but was sad that I was only to do it to facilitate an Ebay listing. One Question i would like to ask is how it rated to other collectors in Australia. I have never really been active on these forums but met a few Australians on RGVC and a few Americans (Hello to Ianoid if your still out there). I know it wont match up to American colelctions as we just dont have the same population size. So if there are any Australians and New Zealanders who would like to take a look (it finished days ago this is not a viral advertisement) This is my collection and as such doesnt include the huge number of decks and sticks and doubles i somehow accumulated over the years. anyway http://cgi.ebay.com.au/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?Vi...AMESO%3AIT&rd=1 Collecting got me through some low parts of life and i used to live for New postings on rgvc Anyway goodluck to the rest of you and no doubt i will be back one day. Now all i have to do is clear the rest of it out of my shed before i leave. Oh yeah and if any UK Collectors want to show me the ropes im keen! thanks
  2. I could only think of warlords and maybe video olympics. Any others? thanks
  3. As they were in australia i basically new they were not going to be lab loaners. I still like My HES theory. Any ideas on why the cap?
  4. The first one has the window on top to let it be erased by UV light. I thought this made it an Eprom? What is a masked rom?
  5. Going through my collection i found three copies of frogger that werent in the parker bros case like my other froggers they were in plain black cases not unlike those used by HES. two were blank one had a typed frogger lable and a silver warning label not to tamper with label it didnt however sit over a screw hole so i guess it was largely an empty threat. The labeled one when opened looked a little hand soldered and on closer inspection had a reprogramable rom chip (in the photo you can see the window on top poking out from beneath the sticker). The second two had a different type of rom and a capacitor that was sitting in the case and connected to the PCB. Maybe the cap is for holding the memory in the second two carts. No idea really was never that flash at electronics. I found these in the Newcastle area of Australia so im guessing either homemade copies or maybe HES was going to do a pirate version. Anyway here are the pics. http://home.exetel.com.au/unsuperman/DSC01479.JPE http://home.exetel.com.au/unsuperman/DSC01480.JPE http://home.exetel.com.au/unsuperman/DSC01481.JPE http://home.exetel.com.au/unsuperman/DSC01482.JPE http://home.exetel.com.au/unsuperman/DSC01483.JPE My apologies if i added the twice new to this forum style. any thoughts apreciated.
  6. I meant to ask what 2600 games had them.
  7. I was testing some carts the other day and sat through a round of alpha blast with ernie by the childrens computer workshop (sounds more like a russian company then an american one) at the end of the round there is a cut scene. For those who havent seen it the cut scene involves the space shuttle from the game screen flying through space, arriving at a planet and then beaming down the cutest version of ernie i have ever seen. I was quite surprised by this as i dont really remember ever seeing a cut scene on a 2600 game before. I also enjoyed it a great deal. My question though is what other 2600 games have these cut scenes? I also wondered where Bert was for a while but i guess he would be way to uptight to boldly go where no muppet had gone before. unsuperman
