Supporting the "Atari Touch Tablet" for input is not only resource friendly but also quite easy - and an adventure with 2D input a very thankful target. (Actually a feature which I miss very much for "onEscape".)

That's really a good choice. Do you plan to translate the game to English? Which 2D-input device do you plan to support? If your engine runs well, "La Crypte des Maudits" seems also be interesting... A quick mock-up in which direction the visuals could go:

Most programs support the joystick per default and the buttons and actions of the Touch Tablet are supposed to behave like that when interpreted as Joystick. Like mentioned: Configure RAMbrant for the touch tablet in the depicted menu. ECKN detects the Touch Tablet automatically if you move back and forth on the tablet while on the title screen.

Your tablet works absolutely correct. Contrary to the Koala Pad the Y-Axis is inverted (I even guess to avoid to being sued for plagiarism). In RAMBrandt you should just select the correct input device here: If you like to try some games with the pad, here are some:

I'm still tempted to buy a mini, but the price tag just doesn't match. (You can get a mobile phone with HDMI out for that price, use Colleen and have (beside battery, screen, WLAN, Bluetooth) lots of additional possibilities.) I wouldn't mind if they would just remove the stick and drop the price significantly. There are many options for well designed and reliable USB controllers...

Maybe it comes from the YouTube encoding, but if not, I would also say that the sound in this section of the vid is not good: Regarding that SysInfo 1.8 doesn't show 100% performance, could it be that the CPU is too weak for full-featured audio if lot of cycles are burned for the display?

Looks like the Mini could fit into the cartridge door of the 400...

Does anyone else wonder about the "SysInfo Speed Rate" displayed here: ?

If there would be CX77 support via mouse (like in Atari800 with the "-mouse touch" option) I likely will be tempted to buy one... (or more as presents...) (That would mean you could use a mouse as paddle controller too...)

Could someone try this on "THE400 Mini" and post the results here?

My experiences with (at least) transparent PLA are not that convincing to get a really "clear" part. Just a small proposal: Design the frame/top edges for print with the ability to glue in the top covering, made of a matching piece of acrylic glass...
